I was wondering how everyone did their return name/address for the invitations?

Did you put your names or parents names? and how did you word the names?
Also, how about for the RSVP envelopes?

I was also wondering since we are having a reception back at home about 1 month after our wedding how should we address those invitations? Also, since we are having the reception about 1 month after our wedding and are requesting RSVP's to be returned about 3 weeks before the reception, when should we send out those invitations? We were thinking send them out a month before the RSVP is due? But that will be funny because our invitations talk about how we got married at disney and everyone will get the invitation before we get married.. .. any suggestions??

Thanks :)

Let's see....

Our invite return address was my address with [My Last Name] & [His Last Name] because we paid for the wedding, not our parents.

The RSVP envelopes were addressed to me b/c I was the one who needed to know who all was coming.

The return address on our at-home reception prolly shoulda been his parents, since they hosted it and the RSVP was to them, but we put our address with
[My Last Name] & [His Last Name] in the hopes that people would figure out I hadn't changed my last name. This turned out to be too subtle a hint....

We sent the invites on the day after our wedding, but that is because they were combo invites/wedding announcements and our reception was 2 months after the wedding.

Maybe yours could say you "will be married" at Disney (rather than "were married" at Disney) so you can send them out before the wedding.

So, if the parents are paying for the majority of the wedding we should put their names on the return lable on the invitations??

Yes - if your invite says "[Your Parents] request the pleasure of your company/honor of your presence at the marriage of [You and DF]..." etc., then their names and address go on the return label.

But if YOU want to get the RSVPs, put your address on the reply card envelope.

And this is all just going by tradition - really, you can do these however you want! :thumbsup2
