I know you can check in online with SWA starting at the 24 hour mark which we'll be doing for our flight out of Nashville to Orlando. BUT...
When the 24 hour mark starts for our return trip home we'll be at MK. I have already asked a friend if she'll check in online for us from her home at the 24 hour mark, but how will I get our boarding passes printed. Can she check us in and then later that evening when we return from MK (at around midnight or later) to our hotel can I ask someone at the front desk to print them? Do I have to wait until I get to the airport instead?
Sorry, but this will be our first time flying and we are all nervous and it's hard being a planner like I am and not knowing in advance how things are supposed to work.
Thanks for any information you can give.

I always do this when I travel on business: I have my husband print out my boarding passes at home. When I arrive at the airport, I usually check my bag for the ride home (who cares if they lose it at that point!). If you are checking bags, you just ask the person at the counter to reprint your boarding pass. It will print with the same letter (usually A if my husband has done it right!) that was originally printed at home.

You don't even have to waste the paper by printing the passes at home (or elsewhere). Just have someone check in for you online, then when you get to the airport, let SW know that you are already checked in online and they will print the passes for you. I do this all the time for work when we have people travelling and they can't get to a computer. I just check them in online and they retrieve their own passes at the airport. You can also get your own passes re-printed at a SW kiosk at the airport.

Will Guest Services at the MK print the passes for you if that's where you'll be at your 24 hour mark?

You really don't need to have them printed anywhere besides the airport. Really it is just another thing that you can lose along the way. You can also check in if you have internet access on your phone. I managed to do this in less than 5 minutes. Southwest has the website set up so all you need to do is type in your reservation number.

I don't think that guest services at the MK would be able to check you in at all.

A few folks have posted recently that Guest Services in MK happily checked them in online and printed their boarding passes.

Don't worry about printing the pass. I've used my cell phone to check in (mobile.southwest.com) twice recently and it worked very well. Just tell the SWA rep you've checked in on-line and they will print out the pass for you. Very easy; SWA is almost always very accommodating.

Thanks for the info. I'll just have my friend check in online for me since my phone does not have web access and then just tell the airline to print them out for me. Traveling with a 5 year old and I would hate for my DS and I to have to split up. He would not do well sitting next to a stranger on the flight home. I hope we'll manage to get an "A" pass. Just as long as we can find at least two seats together we'll be fine.

Thanks.

Ok can someone walk me through how to check in using my cell phone. I just got a web enable cell phone yesterday and since we need to check in at 2:30 this might be easier than going to guest services. Well that is if I can figure out how to do it! LOL.

Guest Services at our hotel checked us in and printed our boarding passes for us this is not to be confused with the check in that have for magical express airlines.

On your phone go to mobile.southwest.com, just need to input your confirmation number (and maybe your last name-been a few months since I've done this) and you're checked in! Piece of cake! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I think I can do that, ok well maybe the 14yo will have to do it. We both got the same phone and she has been playing with it ever since so I'm sure she can figure it out.

Another option is to go and print it at the Coronado Springs business center. From what I understand the resorts only will print boarding passes for participating Magical Express airlines. We went to the Coronado and they let us print our boarding passes and check in online for free bc we were guests at a Disney resorts.
