Hey everyone, hoping someone has experience with this.
I was given a Pandora bracelet and charm for Christmas. It was shipped to me from NY state (I live in MI). They attached the gift receipt, but I'm unsure where I would take it for an exchange or refund.
I already have a Pandora bracelet, I'll keep the charm, but have no use for a second bracelet.
Do I go to any authorized Pandora retailer? ANyone know??

Is the receipt from a Pandora store or an independent jewelry store? There are Pandora stores in 12 Oaks Mall and Somerset Collection here in MI. They might be willing to give you store credit for you to get something else now or in the future. I know my local jewelry store has Pandora and they have let me exchange things there, but I think that is a goodwill gesture since they know DD and I by name. They certainly don't have to do that. If you have a local jeweler you patronize, you could try them. Good luck getting something you love.

I live in Garden City! Small world!!
The gift receipt says Pandora on it but also lists the jewelry store by name and it's located at the mall by their house in NY. That's why I'm unsure if I can just go to any jewelry store that carries Pandora, or if there is maybe an authorized retailer I need to go to, or if I can only return it to the jewelry store in NY where it was purchased?
Guess I'll be making phone calls tomorrow to see what I can do.
Unfortunately there are no jewelers I patronize here in the area, I grew up in Italy, I purchase all my jewelry there when I visit yearly, gold there is so much better quality.

I would try taking it to the Pandora store and even if they just give you a store credit, you will still be better off :yay: The worst they can do is say no

This.

I don't see why it would be a problem. They can re-sell the bracelet, and they get you in their store looking at jewelry with a store credit.

I checked the receipt again. it says "Pandora" and the the mall it was purchased from, no specific jeweler name. Does Pandora have actual stores?
You guys are right, either I get store credit or worst that can happen is they'll say no. I just really dislike returning things. Have a ton of things at home I've never used and just never returned.
It's a cultural thing. I grew up in Italy, they give you a really hard time over there when you try to return something, you can exchange for bigger/smaller size, exchange something broken for the same product, or at the very best they give you store credit. It's just that they're very unhappy doing it and treat you like a low life. Customer is always right certainly doesn't apply there!

Sounds like they got it at an actual pandora store. I bought from the store in Cleveland and they said I could exchange it for credit at another pandora store but not return it for $. Hope that makes sense lol! My receipt looks exactly like you are describing yours.

My S bought his girlfriend a pandora bracelet from a local store. She (or he) doesn't live in the area and would be very unlikely to return to the area where it was bought. (It was bought in Traverse City and she is from the Detroit area) The jewelry store said that it was up to the discretion of each store but that she would likely be able to exchange it.

Yes, there are actual Pandora stores. I believe they are owned by Michael's Jewelers. Perhaps one is in your area. If not, I'd try a jewelry store and see it they exchange it for a charm or two.
