Retirement Celebration Help!!

I'll be traveling to WDW later this month to celebrate my Birthday, and my parents' retirement.

I've got a few surprises already planned for them (custom cake for our dining reservation and flower/balloon arrangement), but I am struggling to find other things to surprise them with.

I would prefer to book something (tours, rentals, etc.) that won't take up the whole day and won't break the bank.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe consider a fireworks cruise or one of the fireworks parties? Pirates and Pals is a lot of fun. We also enjoyed a private Illuminations cruise. You can also do a fireworks dessert party inside the parks. We really liked the MK one with Plaza Garden viewing. The parties and cruises aren't exactly cheap, but they also don't take up your whole day.

Thanks for these suggestions! I did consider doing a Wishes Cruise - though as you pointed out they aren't exactly cheap. I think as an alternate to this I will take them to a viewing spot at Poly's beach or dock.

I thought about that. Do you have any experience with this? Does the carriage jostle a lot (I only ask as my dad has neck/back issues)?

I didn't think it did, but I wouldn't risk it if he has back/neck issues.

Hmm okay, wasn't sure if I should post there, as I was more looking for things outside the parks.

This is fine too, I just think this forum is very room/resort focused and there they may have additional thoughts

Boardwalk for Ice Cream. Ample Hills Creamery or Beaches and Cream. Miniature golfing at one of the on-site courses.
