retiree problems using MEP and guest passes

I retired in March when my TDS closed. I know 3 other CMs that retired from my store between 2-12 months before me. ALL were sent new MEP and new guest passes. I was not.

When I called the retiree line about something else, they said that NO, I was just supposed to use my old MEP and guest passes. I mentioned others getting new ones. Looking at MDE, I still see my old guest passes. I have had trips since retiring but we were blocked most days so I bought passes.

So now I was trying to get some park reservations, and my guest passes are invalid. So it looks like I WAS supposed to get all new passes. My MEP and my husbands can get a park reservation. (I found out there was another problem when I tried to get park reservations at all with my ID using self admit process for DL ).

So retirees, it appears like you should get new passes. Although one friend who DID get new ones, those are not working either. She called last week on hers. I will report back on how my call goes, with her they could not fix it, will send her yet another set of passes but may take awhile.

While the DL issue is up in the air (was told that retirees cannot self admit. They can only use MEP. Meanwhile the self admit calendar is wide open, almost, and MEP is totally blocked), WDW is different.

As for WDW?? Seems I have 2 sets of guest passes on my MDE, they are both visible, along with a new (fake?) person called "Partner" and my last name. 3 of the guest passes have a mickey head next to them and say GUEST, the 3 digit number, and my last name. The valid ones show a little ticket icon, say guest pass, and the 3 (same) digit number. She has no idea why this is happening to people. But to use the second set to make park reservations. And only IT support can remove the invalid ones.

I retired about 6 years ago and I can remember getting two sets of MEP and guest passes. I had to call to see which ones I should use. I actually still have the other set (with different numbers on the back) but obviously never use them. I think both sets showed up on my MDE and I was able to delete the duplicates off MDE so I wouldn't get confused.

I honestly don't get how they handle retirees....seems like all our perks get messed up someway or another.

I am still frustrated that I can't book online at the retiree site for DCL bookings. Every once in awhile they will update the list of discounted cruises but I can't book them through the site....I have to call. I have contacted them several times and each time they say I should be able to book it through the retiree site but all I get is a page that says "you do not have access to this page". I gave up.

Also, I thought we got the 40% holiday discount at shopdisney.com. I put a few orders in and it just comes up as 35% off. Is 40% off only at the parks and not online?

Sorry you are going through this. I guess just call again.

40% Off Theme Park Merchandise
December 1, 2021 through February 15, 2022. Maybe that is when the online discount starts.

Ok....starts in December. Will that be theme park merchandise online though?
Maybe. Here is their email address. You can send them an email to see what they say.
CastMembers@shopDisney.com. There are some places at Epcot where you won’t get the discount until January (Japan Pavilion is one). Best to ask when you shop.

Whats weird is my 2 sets of passes on MDE show the same numbers. just one set says Guest Pass ### and the other says Guest### and my last name. It is the ones without my last name that are the valid ones. I never was sent a 2nd set, which explains why both sets have same numbers, but not why it looks like that on MDE. Oh well, now I know the correct set. I will try and remove them next time I feel like waiting on the phone for 1-2 hours.
