We are going to visit WDW in September with my adult daughter and her family (daughter, her husband and 2 kids under 3). She had a DAS interview scheduled but they would not let her continue because they said she did not have a valid park reservation or ticket. She is assigned one of my guest passes and we do have park reservations for all the days we are going but it does not show up in her MDE even though she has all of us listed as friends and family. Myself, my husband and her family all show up in my MDE.

She's received conflicting info on how to proceed. One CM she spoke with said to schedule another interview using my MDE which shows park reservations but not her name specifically....just Guest Pass xyz with me there on the call. Another CM told her she has to do it in person with me at guest services at the first park we go to.

We have no prior experience with DAS and CM passes so this is all new territory. I know we can't actually assign a guest pass to a specific name so any advice to give? Do we just go to guest services at the park when we get there. Was hoping to have things in place prior to getting there.

Thanks for any insight.

Yes, you just do DAS at the park when you arrive, each day. it's just a minor inconvenience. Yes, the DAS on a guest pass cannot book those advance reservations, but a small price to pay for free admission. (Personally, I see no reason to even grant those advance reservations. And when we had them, most of them we missed anyway, as plans shifted during the day).

I just wish we did not have to do it every day of a vacation. But it is usually quick.

Ok, thank you so much for your info. It really helps. I didn't realize we had to go each day to guest services. Oh well. It will all work out. Thanks again.

The other irksome thing is with the guest passes is that it also messed up getting additional Boarding group in the after hours time, and same in morning, you can't buy ILL until park opens. It doesn't recognize guest pass people as resort guests, or deluxe resort guests.

Well that stinks!!!

You can buy genie+ though. It is understandable why it does not recognize guest passes as resort guests, of course. I am really so grateful to still have my MEP. DL is the most annoying, we are at GC but with MEP can only get 3 days of park reservations at a time. (Oddly I can also get 3 self admit days, but not for my son. I need to wait until we use the first day up and hope another day is still available, WDW is different, it allows onsite resort guests to get more)
