The race/medal were not Disney themed. It was a danskin women's race that happened to use Disney property. I want to say they only did it one year at the Disney location.
My first Disney race was the Minnie 15k....they ended it that year. I ran Race for the Taste 10k (not knowing it was the final one)....they ended it. I ran the one and only Chip and Dale Relay....they ended it. Apparently, I'm a race killer
As for the relay. I know lots of people who wanted to do the second leg of thecourse because they only do halves and they never get to run the AK/DHS/Epcot back half of the race. As for logistics...they never gave it a chance to make improvements. I know lots of people ignored the instructions and just took the monorail to Poly/TTC and walked over to the staging area.
The 15k was part of the "Minnie Marathon Weekend". It was held the first weekend in May. The 15k was called "Women Run The World". My sister and I did it each of its 3 years. There were no corrals at all. You lined up between 3 sets of flags: 5-9 min milers, 9-12 min milers and 12-15 min milers.
The first year (2006) there were only 1,490 finishers! 2nd year there were about 2,000 of us and the 3rd year (and last year
