Need idea, reviews and whatnot for a decent priced sit down lunch in the Magic Kingdom.

Any good buffets or just any really, looking for good reviews, not to mention any bad ones to stay away from, I'm open to that info too!

Looking for myself, dh and 3 kids ages 11, 6, 3.

Would LOVE a character lunch but know they are typically expensive. Any one resturant more liable to see them then others?

Don't really want to make reservations, but will if it's the perfect place.

Thanks

Sheri

the plaza restaurant in MK is great! if you get there about opening time or between times, you might have a very short, if any, wait. the portions are large enough to share. and this is a reasonably priced sit-down. enjoy! :earboy2:

Myself and DD7 really enjoy Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends. We ate there this past Oct. for dinner but we also did lunch in Oct. 2003. We loved it both times. There is a wide variety of food.

Check out www.allearsnet.com for the menus and prices for all the restaurants.

I also agree with Disney Queen. I haven't eaten at the Plaza in a long time but it was always my mom's favorite and we ate there everytime we went. I tend to do a lot more character meals now since it's usually just myself and dd that go.

Hope you have a great time.

We make it a tradition to have a sit-down lunch at the Liberty Tree Tavern everytime we go to WDW. Last trip the food was so good that we went twice, for lunch, in one trip. And... ordered the Tri-corner sandwich twice. Also ordered an appetizer salad with dressing on the side and split both between myself and my DH. It was still alot of food. Our three kids think the burgers there are very good, and are (reportly) the chicken fingers. And that is according to our DD10 (chicken finger expert!)... I'd say check out the LTT for lunch. It's also never that busy for lunch. A lovely break in the day.

Oh... I forgot to mention. We always ask for bread and/or rolls and butter when we get to a sit-down lunch... at LTT the butter is a yummy honey-butter and you get soft, fresh rolls with it. It's very good and helps to keep the kids busy and we always eat some too. With the rolls and butter, one tri-corner sandwich and fries and one side salad between us, my DH and I always leave stuffed!!!! The kids (10,7, and 4) each order a kid's meal and there's always tons for them too. But, you have to actually ask for the rolls and butter, they don't automatically bring them to you.

Keep in mind that you get a little price break at Crystal Palace for lunch as opposed to dinner. You still get an awesome buffet, with Pooh and friends still visiting your tables! Give it a try :goodvibes

Have to agree with previous posts, we ate dinner at CP a few weeks ago..definitely the best buffet food in WDW. Even the kids food seemed a notch better and my son 5 was in heaven when he discovered the rainbow bread.

Characters are Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet, and we had a great time.
