Hi all ,Does any know if I can get the nutritional info on any of the resturants at the world ? :cheer2:

I'm thinking they probably don't publish it...I don't recall seeing it for any individual restaurant, WDW or not...usually only for larger chains that serve the same foods at numerous locations.

But, I'll move this over to the Restaurants Board and see if anyone knows for sure.

Here is a link of a site where the person e-mail each Disney park requesting nutritional information http://www.thelifeledger.com/2008/03/03/eating-healthy-walt-disney-world/ from 2008, but I don't think Disney's position has changed.

Needless to say, though Disney attempts to promote a healthy food position, they fail to provide this information to health oriented guest. Their reason is the same you get from some of large chain restaurants known for high calorie food offerings.

I contacted the concierge to ask the same ? and they do not have the food facts,I would think the resturants with the fairly same menu well that it would make it easier than sending out the chef for various food issues,I do have a my aunt comming with that is diabetic and high cholestrol I think that will have to do if your watching your cals too.:sad2:

There is a large thread about this subject in the disABILITIES Forum. It breaks down to several reasons.

Unlike many chain restaurants most Disney meals are actually locally prepared and sources of food change often for a particular location.

For an example, a slice of whole wheat bread can have major differences depending on the bakery used, even if the slices weight the same and are the same size.

For a buffet style meal there is no portion control, so they cannot give counts for a "portion".

The main reason a chef will be available to explain ingredients is to assist a person in determining what foods are safe if they have particular allergies. Similarly, the quick service locations managers are similarly trained, although there is a book available to Guests at each location that gives ingredients.

But again the actual counts of calories and/or carbs in a meal depends on a lot of factors, all of which can change; only the list of ingredients tends to remain stable.

I have to second everything Cheshire Figment said above. The information you get isn't as accurate as people tend to think because meals are tweaked over time and are prepared differently by different chefs. Here is a decent article on the subject.

I would still love to get the info along with the service size (which would help a little with the portion part of the buffet problem) but it should only be used as a guide or rough estimate. If you are looking to be a bit healthier the restaurants will work with you. You can usually substitute sides or get meals without heavy sauces.

If you do a search on this board and the W.I.S.H. boards looking for health eating at WDW you will find a lot of good tips on the subject.
