I know that no one knows how long restrictions like no Park Hopper, Dining Plans etc will last. Did I read correctly that in the Disney release they stated they anticipate the restrictions through late September 2021? I am confused why they would set the date out that far. Interested in thoughts, especially from TA or Cast Members.

My GUESS is that they want to track & control the number of guests that get access to the parks on any given day. They probably think that capacity restrictions will have to last at least that long. I believe they will be adjusting the availability of reservations on a regular basis - slowly opening up more as conditions warrant.

I don't see any reason why the pandemic is suddenly going to go away in the next fifteen months based on what's been going on for the past three.

I guess they are hoping that come Oct 1st, they can get the 50th party in full swing.
I hope it's sooner, but don't give it much hope.

Sorry, no answers-but I'm wondering about this too. I just made reservations for January 2021, and figured I didn't have to pay any attention to this "park reservation" stuff. But now I just don't know what to do. I can't even buy tickets until Fall, and who knows what will happen by then. Should I/Can I do anything before October or so?

That’s what I noticed in regards to timing. Well, let’s hope things get better and back on track sooner rather than later.

If you have no tickets, you have to wait until you can buy. They may be opening for 2021 sales starting June 28th, but it is not clear if this is only for cash guests who book a package or any guest with a reservation like DVc.

According to my travel agent, Disney will make park hopper pass and dining package available when it is possible to do so. With all the cancelling, rescheduling and more cancelling, I guess WDW just want to start with the minimum and add on along the way. And yes, Covid-19 is not going anywhere within a short time .

We called and spoke to Carter yesterday who said we can call on June 24 and have tickets added to our DVC January 2021 reservation for anyone in our group that needs them.

Sorry rather new to the board and DVC in general as I am renting points for the first time. Who is Carter and where can you call on June 24 to add tickets to a 2021 stay?

As a renter you cannot speak to MS.

Hello! Carter is just the cast member we spoke with but as long as you have a reservation confirmation number you should be able to call the normal operations number and they can help you. (407) 939-5277

Awesome! Thank you for the info!

The Sept 2021 date coincides with the expiration date of tickets for everyone who had tickets booked and had their trips cancelled. Those tickets were extended to Sept 26, 2021. I imagine Disney is wanting to get all of those people settled into park days before selling new tickets. I think it definitely should have been rolled out in phases though rather than making tomorrow morning a free for all that is GOING to crash the system.
