Restaurants??

Im trying to choose a restaurant for all my guests (12 people) to go to the night before my wedding. My choices so far are :

Boma or Jiko
(which, Im not sure as Ive haven't been to either)

Artist's Point

Wolfgang Pucks

Can anyone recommed one above another,,or maybe a choice I haven't though of. We have to have the dinner outside of the parks as some of my guests only have tickets for certain days.

Any advice would be extreemly appreciated.

Let me start off by saying that I have never been to any of these. My choice would probably be bomas b/c it is a buffet. There is much more variety than a sit down dinner. Also the price is set so if you are on a budget you know what to expect pricewise.

ps. maybe you can ask your question on the restaurant board also. you would probably get a bunch of replies and i think those boards are frequented much more often.

If I were you I would go to http://allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm
This site is GREAT!!! It will give you the menus for each restraunt at each park, hotel, Down Town Disney ect. This way you can see if the menu's are able to accomidate what everyone likes. Jiko's is a great restraunt but definately is not for everyone. They have alot of different foods that you may have never had before. I like it but it is not my fav. Artist point was not a fav to me either, There was really not a huge selection of food to chose from and what they did have I was not interested in. I have never been to Wolfgang Pucks but so I cant help on this one.

My favorite restraunt for you all would be Yachtmen Steakhouse over at the Yacht Club. They have something to please everyone. And afterwards since some of the guest dont have passes to get into parks what you could do is walk over to the boardwalk and enjoy the night life they have there, Magic shows, music, and different acts thoughout the year, and if you are there near 9pm walk over to the bridge and watch the fireworks that will happening over at Epcot. This will be a nice night and there will no need to have passes for any parks.

OK I've been to them all - it's all about the food right ?

Anyway here are my thoughts :

Bomas
This is a buffet which I enjoy greatly but I have been with friends here before who aren't over keen on the range of food - a lot of it is very different buffet fare but they do a great range of dips, salads and soups and wonderful desserts. This may be a risk depending on your guests tates but out of the 4 you've picked it's certainly the cheapest

Jiko's
Very very good. I've had probably my best filet and definitely the best Mac'n'cheese ever here. Wonderful food and fantastic service, but again I'd suggest you check out the menu.

Artist Point
I do like the Artist Point but would agree with Ellie that there isn't the greatest amount of choice. The buffalo is very good and the salmon is again some of the best I have ever tasted. The cobbler for dessert is wonderful but you definitely to share it.

Wolfgang Pucks
This would be my favourite out of the list you've given - mainly because of the variety available. The menu is extensive and they also have daily specials as well. The sushi is the best I've had on WDW property. Their sandwiches are huge. Flatbreads are very original and tasty. Great pasta. The butternut squash soup is heavenly. Oh and they do a wonderful chocolate fondue for dessert.

Yachtsman
As Ellie mentioned this I just have to say that this is also one of my favourite restaurants but I think the choice of appetizers is lame but that's OK really as the entrees are huge and more than enough but my DH and I have big appetites and I do like more often or not to have an appetizer, entree and a dessert if I can squeeze one in.

There are so many choices at WDW and I haven't been there since I was really young so it's hard to decide where to eat and what to do. But all of your advice really helps.

At this time Im still waiting for a wedding co-ordinator from Disney,,aprantly they are renovating the co-ordinator system which Im not too happy about but hopefully I get someone in the next few days. Although by the time I get one I'll probably have everything planned out and reserved myself anyway.

Thankfully I found this site though because Ive gotten most of my advice and information here,,

ME AND H2B STAYED AT AKL IN NOVEMBER 03 AND ATE AT JIKO'S WHICH WAS DELICIOUS, YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE A MENU WITH THEM ALSO FOR A GROUP/PARTY DINNER. AS FOR OTHER RESTAURANTS IT DEPENDS IF YOUR GUESTS HAVE PARK TICKETS OR NOT, EPCOT HAS SOME OF THE BEST PLACES TO EAT AND BE SWEPT AWAY LE ORIGINALE ALFREDO'S BEST FETTCINE ALFREDO SIT OUTSIDE ON THE TERRACE ADMIRE NEPTUNE'S FOUNTAIN (ITALY) LE CELLIER STEAKHOUSE SERVES FABOULOUS FILET MIGNON NEAR A ROARING FIREPLACE (CANADA) LAMB & COUSCOUS AT MARRAKESH WITH BELLY DANCERS & LOUD MUSIC(MOROCCO), LES CHEFS DE FRANCE GREAT QUICHE AND THE EIFFEL TOWER FOR ROMANCE. I ALSO LOVE THE BOARDWALK RESTAURANTS AND AMBIENCE, TRY THE FLYING FISH CAFE, WEIRD NAME GREAT FOOD AND DECOR.
