Restaurants you miss

Character meal at Liberty Tree with colonial-themed characters.
The Wave.
Another vote for Artist Point.
Cafeteria version of Le Cellier.
Garden View Tea.

When you said "Cafeteria version", it reminded me that even after 30 years, I miss the cafeteria version (although I think it was officially called a "Buffetteria") of the Crystal Palace. I had the most delicious Black Forest cake there.

I was going to say the character meal at LTT! I would even be happy if LTT went back to the menu they had before you had to get the Thanksgiving dinner there. Love the theme and location, but won't be back unless menu changes!
I also miss the breakfast and lunch at BOG when it first opened. Hate the Prix Fixe menus!

Out of curiosity what did they have on the menu then? I think there are a lot of English dishes they could feature that they don’t.
I remember many times starting out with a cheese plate (including Stilton). The entrees included a steak, burger, and a chicken and leek pie that was delicious. It was a much larger menu in general.

Yes, I remember the cafeteria version my first time in Disney. During that trip I also member Hollywood & Vine was an old-fashioned cafeteria.

I miss the a la carte menu at LTT. I also really liked the counter service breakfast and lunch at BOG. I don’t visit either of those places anymore with their prix fixe only menu.

The original Chef Mickeys in the Marketplace, before it became a money grab.
Bongos, a great meal with little advance notice.
Adventurers club- not a restaurant but still the biggest mistake by closing it.

LTT had a great entree salad-I think it had apples in it, and you could get it with or without chicken, and there was a drink-orange sherbet mixed with ginger ale (no alcohol). That was my favorite lunch in MK.
I only got to eat lunch CS in BOG once-I really enjoyed it, though. I think I had some fried sandwich.

Akurshus before it became a Princess Character Dining Experience. The food was so good and so authentic! They even used to sell Linie Aquavit in the Norway shop. Iykyk.
Oh, yes! It was one of the few places where you could get real authentic food (well, Disney authentic) I remember when it first opened, and we were always told we had to eat 7 plates to be a Viking. But since it was a buffet, and no one specified how much food on a plate, we just got one thing each of 7 times we went up. Being a Viking didn't come with any reward, but it was fun. And DH's part Norwegian and remembers some food they served-there was some kind of herring, I think, that he had not-so-fond memories of. We loved that place.
