I apologize if this has already been asked. I did a search but couldn't come up with any results. So, in order to get the most for my money out of the DDP, I would like to take DD to restaurants that don't have a children's menu...I've already booked our TS restaurants, I am most concerned about QS restaurants. So, is there a comprehensive list of these, or do you know of any? If there is a thread on this, please post the link!

Thank you so much!! :cool1:

This is from the DDP sticky:

Which CS locations do not have a separate children’s menu?
I understand that where there is no children’s menu, children can order off the regular menu.
• Toluca Turkey Legs
• Casey's
• Pete's Doggone Good Dogs
• Sommerfest
• Yorkshire County Fish Shop
• Main Street Bakery
• Golden Oak Outpost

Where children's menus exist, Dining Plan Guests are supposed to be able to order only as many meals in each category as Guests indicated in that category on the Key to the World.

Posts have been deleted from this thread regarding going against WDW written policy about the dining plan. Please don't discuss taking actions that are against WDW's rules; per the policy here on the restaurant board posts or threads that do so will be removed.

Been meaning to add Boulangerie Patisserie to the above list; it appears they don't have a children's menu either. Nor does the Taqueria del Lago, which has taken the place of Cantina de San Angel while the cantina is being refurbished.

And even after I made the above post, I had to delete another one. The thread will have to be closed if another appears. Please see my above post for the DIS' restaurant board policy.

Anyone know about Tamu Tamu in AK?
There is no Kids menu?
Do they get to eat any entree?
How does that effect Quick Service Dining Plan?

If your kids will not enjoy the items on a typical children's menu, then your best bet may be buffets where they can eat from the entire buffet selection.

My kids do not eat mac and cheese at all. One does not like chicken the other does not like pizza. You can see where this can be an issue with the Disney kids menus.

I have a lot of buffets scheduled and was careful about the menus at the TS places I picked. CS is going to be a PIA.

Oh never mind, I read the post wrong. You have TS covered. I agree, CS is a big problem. All of the kids menus are the same and they all stink IMO!

one thing to note about the counter service places that do not have kids' menus...they kind of don't have much of any menu. In other words, the menu is so limited NO one gets much of a choice, lol. Three of the places are basically hot-dog places. Toluca Turkey legs is all about turkey legs; Fish & chips shop has just fish & chips. Main Street bakery has limited sandwich selection.

so while your child may not have to order a kids meal there, they're not actually going to get a bunch of other choices at these places - if they like hot dogs, or turkey legs, or the sandwiches on offer at Main Street Bakery then they'll be fine. Otherwise, they still have not much choice. Just so you know:thumbsup2

That's an excellent point. And to add to that, I thought the best place for adult CS was also pretty decent for kids: Sunshine Seasons at Epcot. I think we got like a sweet and sour chicken for DS that was decent (not fab, just decent, more than what can be said about most CS places). And the adult choices were quite good, including really yummy salads.

Nor does the Taqueria del Lago, which has taken the place of Cantina de San Angel while the cantina is being refurbished.

Does anyone know if a menu for the temporary CS has been posted anywhere? I quite like the Cantina San Angel - I had a few of DD's kids nachos/quesadilla meals there without the sauce (we traded food) and it was great!

I wish I could remember where Tricia posted her list of places with more interesting kids menus. I could list off some, but hers was so well put together.
