Restaurants with toddler (16 month old)

I have seen kids of all ages at every restaurant except Victoria and Alberts.
i agree with trying to eat earlier. The servers are often very good about getting finger foods for the infant right away. Otherwise, having toys for them to play with is helpful. You know best what your child will and will not tolerate and for how long.
When our kids were that age, they went to all the good restaurants there and were well behaved for the meal. We had plenty of toys, snacks, finger foods and things to keep them busy.

As a former kid who used to love going to restaurants, I love that the Disney restaurants are mostly kid-friendly. I don't think many expect a child-free experience anywhere when at Disney, but like someone else said, most go into a significantly-priced dining experience hoping for a GOOD experience. If a child is usually pretty good with eating out and if the child's parents are attentive, then it shouldn't be a problem. When I'm at Disney, as a childless adult, it takes a lot for me to be bothered by kids being kids. I do get bothered by parents who let their kids ruin the experience of others, which does not sound like something you would come close to doing (that you're posting ahead of time especially proves that!). Basically, no one in a restaurant should act as though they are only the person experiencing it, and everyone should have a little consideration and patience.

So you're basically suggesting that as long as you can somehow tolerate your kids' poor behavior, it's perfectly fine to visit that on other guests? o_O

It starts at the dinner table at home. Allowing one set of behaviors at home and then expecting something different when you're out isn't reasonable.

i'm sorry but at no point did i mention bad behaviour! i wouldnt tolerate my children being badly behavioured or ignorant for that matter(you might want to re read my post!). if parents are on edge kids are generally on edge. so if you are nervous about it prob not worth doing.
