Hey! I'm looking for some good ideas of WDW restaurants that would have a relaxing, calming atmosphere about them. Any suggestions?

Jiko, Citrico's, the Yacht Club Galley, Narcooses, GF Cafe are all very relaxing.

I would avoid anything to do with a character meal or buffet.

The CG and Kona Cafe are excellent but can get very loud.

It's been a while, but we have always loved the low lighting and "riverside" atmospere at the San Angel Inn in Mexico/World Showcase.

We also find LeCellier relaxing. However, all it takes is a large group of excited youngsters to remove the "relaxing" from any ambience, so we just roll with it at WDW restaurants.

Altho Coral Reef was not our favorite meal, it was a VERY calming and relaxing atmosphere, once the fawning waiter left us alone.

Coral Reef was very relaxing for us in February. Fulton's was also relaxing at lunchtime.

That's a tough one at WDW--
The best "adult friendly" spots seem to be:
Palio
Citrico's
Bistro D' Paris

Jiko's can be that way sometimes, but our last meal there it was filled with children of all ages.

At lunch the Sand Trap Bar and Grill was totally relaxing--no kids whatsoever!!

Citricos is definitely a lovely palce for a meal. It always seems to be very relaxing and has a great 'slow-paced' kind of atmosphere.

I also agree with The San Angel Inn - the dim lighting and magnificent theming makes this one of our favourite Epcot Restaurants. This may not always be the case, but when we have been in the past, I wouldn't describe it as very quiet - and the only downside to this restaurant IMO is the fact that the tables are so close together.

Richard. :)

I have always found the Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant at MGM to be a lovely, elegant restaurant. Although it can get busy, I have never felt rushed and have always had a relaxing meal.

I will second that-love the Brown Derby at lunch time!

I fine Le Cellier to be very relaxing.

Depends , do you mean during a day at the park?
If so I would say CRT, or Plaza at MK

Garden Grill at Epcot
Dunno for MGM
No place at AK

In general during a vacation...

VICTORIA AND ALBERTS
and High Tea at Grand Floridian.

Both are guaranteed to drop your BP by 50 points!

CAn you tell me a little about high tea at the GF? WHat kind of food is there and what exactly happens? THANKS!
