Anyone have any great places to eat at Disney that are overlooked?

There's the place at The Land ... counter service type place (can't remember name -- Sunshine Seasons maybe?).

The Wave's menu looks very fresh and healthy.

Our entire group was blown away by just how fresh the food was at San Angel Inn our last visit. We had the guacamole appetizer, crab tostadas and fish entree.

I was also surprised at Biergarten. I thought it would be meat, meat, and then some more meat with spaetzle. Many, many salad options and several lean proteins.

I guess I'm confused by "healthy." Are you talking diet-friendly or just foods that aren't full of processed garbage, sodium or fried?

Healthier food as a life style, not a diet. Our biggest problem with going to Disney is the food. Way to much fat, fried and processed.

Seasons is a good option. We usually go in the summer months so I often get a salad at Pinocchio Haus for lunch. Tusker House and Boma both have a wide variety of vegetables. They're also buffets which can be an issue for some people.

Sunshine Seasons is a CS that has a lot of different & healthier options - that's in The Land Pavillion in Epcot Future World. I usually get the steamed white rice with vegetables from there. My kids like the chicken leg platter.

At MK, there's Columbia Harbor House CS - not sure how much healthier it is, but different choices abound. They have tuna sandwiches (to die for) on multi grain bread, broccoli slaw sandwiches, and then the traditional fried seafood baskets (fish & chips or shrimp). There's also a baked potato cart outside of CHH, and you can bring that into CHH to eat.

In Epcot's World Showcase try CS Tangierine Cafe in Morocco. They have a great vegetarian sampler platter that includes hummus & bread, tabouleh, couscous, marinated olives, lentil salad & more. Very light & refreshing on a hot day, but enough food to fill you up (or share).

We like Cosmic Ray's in MK when we are tired of fried food-I too can get way sick of french fries after a couple of days. At Cosmic Ray's we get the roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. This is a large meal, yummy and seems to be a little less processed than some of the other choices. Plus we love Sonny!

Sunshine Seasons at EP also looks good and the tuna at CHH in MK is pretty good as well.

I was needing to know the same thing! After looking at menus over and over, it is hard to know how much added seasoning, butter, and method of cooking these restaurants use:confused::confused::confused: Any suggestions on places you have been before that worked out well for you? My husband and I have a "clean eating" lifestyle, so we like fresh foods as close to no additives/preservatives, low sodium, high fiber, lean protein, etc as possible...which I know is difficult in many vacation places...

so any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!!!!:worship: :worship:

TS-Tokyo Dining has many excellent healthy choices!

Think grilled not fried, and take water for a beverage and fruit plates for dessert. Buffets work well for this.

Many places offer salads with grilled meat, so ask for dressing on the side. There are also soups.

QS-Riverside Mill at POR has many create-your-own options, which may suit your needs.

Alot of counter places you can get apple slices instead of fries.
I tend to pick up a pound or 2 doing disney dining especially with the dining plan,( I'm going in Oct with out the dining plan this trip) Can't say no to the dessert & more salt in the food than I am used to. Beef up on the water intake.
Also if you are at a table service place talk to your waiter & let them know what & how you would like things done . They have always been very helpful
