Trying to plan some meals and would like to relax at a restaurant that has a nice view of something interesting, along with not being out in the hot sun. These are the restaurants that I remember that have views, but I haven't eaten everywhere so there must be others!

DL
Blue Bayou -- Inside with view of PoC boats
French Market -- Shaded courtyard with band
Golden Horseshoe -- Inside with band
Hungry Bear -- Shaded with ROA view, no boats right now (how is the ROA view with the construction?)

DCA
Alfresco Tasting Terrace -- Never eaten here but there's supposed to be a view of RSR. Is it from a lot of tables and is there shade at most tables?
Cove Bar -- View of Screamin' takeoff, seems like there were umbrellas at some but not all tables last time we were there
Pacific Wharf Café -- Water view, umbrellas at tables

Almost all of the TS locations with outdoor seating try to have umbrellas or other means of shading their dining areas. Some tables are going to be in the sun depending on the time of day, but they do try to keep the the majority of the tables shaded. Likewise, most all of the CS locations with extensive seating will have some seating areas that are under cover (not necessarily the majority, but at least a few). For my family, "people watching" is fun, so in that way, pretty much any venue with outdoor seating will have something to do.

Redd Rockett's Pizza Port - mixture of indoor (noisy) and outdoor seating, with a view of Tomorrowland
Plaza Inn - some indoor seating, some outdoor seating with umbrellas (limited view of Main Street)
Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante - some "indoor" seating, some outdoor seating under the overhang (limited view of Frontierland, some view of BTMRR)
Pinocchio's Village Haus - some "indoor" seating, some outdoor seating under umbrellas (view of Fantasyland, e.g., Carousel, Casey Jr)
Galactic Grill - some covered seating (view of Jedi Academy when happening, view of Tomorrowland otherwise)
Jolly Holiday - outdoor seating with umbrellas, great view of Main Street

Fiddler, Fifer, and Practical Pig Cafe (aka Starbucks) - indoor seating mostly, a few tables out on BVS (indoor tables have no real view or entertainment, outdoor tables can see BVS)
Smoke Jumpers - mixture of indoor and outdoor seating
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta - covered outdoor seating (umbrellas and roofs), live band (sometimes)
Flo's V-8 Cafe - mostly indoor seating, some outdoor seating (some tables have a view of RSR, some of the Cozy Cones)

Golden Horseshoe -- Inside with band
It's indoor, so it's "shaded" in that way, but it's not what I'd call "relaxing"...It's one of the loudest places I've been in!

Hungry Bear -- Shaded with ROA view, no boats right now (how is the ROA view with the construction?)
No view really; they've put up construction facades so guests cannot easily see the Rivers of America under construction.

Cove Bar -- View of Screamin' takeoff, seems like there were umbrellas at some but not all tables last time we were there
There are some umbrellas and some tables are under the overhang/roof.

Don't forget Coke Corner/Refreshment Corner. Tables have umbrellas and the pianist is very entertaining. Pianist can be heard and seen from some of the tables at Jolly Holiday, too.

Carthay Circle at DCA is nice- it's more on the "fancy" side but the lounge is nice if you don't reservations. Also the patio tables on the second level of the restaurant have a view and have umbrellas.

I like the area by the Paradise Garden Grill and Boardwalk Pizza in DCA. There's a ton of seating and shade, and they have a cute band!

Thank you!

By "view" I mean more of a view of an attraction or something like that rather than people watching. I'd forgotten about Coke Corner (or whatever it's called now) with the piano player!

Yep, but the Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta is still there. They have a band playing at times and you can sit and watch a parade or the backside of WOC

BUT......that still does NOT make up for closing Paradise Garden Grill!! ....not even close!! :furious:
