Ok
This trip we are taking with us another couple who have never been to wdw....I know, can you believe it???
Anyway, we are doing the silver plan for 7 nights and I really want to make this trip special for them. I came up with some restaraunts that we really enjoyed and I would like to take them to.
Here's my list so far
Fresh
Boma’s
Crystal Palace
Cape May Café
Luau
Wolfgang Puck’s dining room
Fulton’s
Coral Reef
California Grill
50’s Primetime Café
Kona Cafe

Does anyone else have any ideas that would help make this trip extra special. With the exception of Fresh we have eaten at all these restaraunts before and honestly I would like to try some new places too. Any suggestions would be helpful.

My favorite 2 WDW restaurants aren't on your list!:earseek:

How about Spoodle's and the Yachtsman Steakhouse? We go to both these places every trip. We have never been disappointed.

We also like Jiko, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Beaches and Cream

Have a great time!

Number one by far, for best meal was LeCellier at Canada in Epcot : cheddar cheese soup+++, pretzel bread sticks+++, burgers (try the potato salad instead of ordinary french fries), french dip, beef tips, steak, absoultely don't miss the cream brulee+++, and the cappicino freeze among others.

Number two was Crystal Palace character lunch in MK.

Number three was House of Blues, Downtown Disney.

I could list the other places where we ate, but none was noteworth enough to list.

Places to avoid were Rainforest Cafe at AK, and 50's Prime Time at MGM. Also do not try the Commisary at MGM. Also avoid fish and chips at the England counter service in Epcot.

I am not sure about Fresh as we had breakfast there and I would probably go back to retry; it was good, but not as good as I was hoping, and since it is new I would give it a second chance. I am not sure about Akerhaus in Norway as it was almost good, but not quite enough to push it into the rave category.

Some really good treats were the deserts at the little stand in front of Itlay in Epcot (taramisu, canolli, biscotti, and some custard treat) , the refrigerated treats at the counter stand at Norway in Epcot (rice cream and the refrigerated chocolate cake+++), the roasted pecans (not roasted almonds) at the counter in front of the American Experienct in Epcot, the beaver tails at the Canada counter in Epcot, and one sweet treat at the Mexicna counter service (can't recall the name just this minute). Stay away from the treats at France counter service as most were inadequate.

I have enjoyed the character breakfast at the Crystal Palace with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. The food is good also.
Spoodles at boardwalk has an eclectic menu and is good quality. I have also enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Bongos(?) the cuban resturant of Gloria Estephen.
My DW and I also enjoy the Whispering Canyon bbq place in WL. All you can drink milkshakes ... yum.
For something different, try going off site to Emerils and enjoy a very expensive meal.
Flying Fish is excellent but way over priced. I would rather eat at the restuarant in the living seas, you get a view of the fish in the main tank and if you go around 5 pm, you may even see the divers (having been one of those before) peeking at you from inside the tank.
Cape May Cafe at BCV and Ohana at the Polynesian are fun, too.
The last place that I always stop at, is the ESPN zone at Boardwalk. I always get the really big hot dog.

My two favorites are LeCellier and Yachtsmans Steakhouse. Both are excellent!

We also did Ohana's for the first time last trip for both Breakfast and Dinner and it was fantastic.

A trip wouldn't be complete for my DH without lunch at Kona Cafe.

I would actually take Jiko over Boma. I know Boma is a buffet and a totally different "idea"...but Jiko's food and atmosphere is just amazing.

hmmm...I think I want to go back to Jiko more than MK! :scared1:

Last trip our favorites were: Le Cellier, Rose and Crown, Teppanyaki and Les Chefs

Least favorites (never again): Chef Mickeys and Tony's Town Square

Want to trys next trip: Spoodles (for dinner, had 2 breakfasts there), Mama Melrose or Brown Derby

Our fav and always visit:

Bistro DeParis -

Some others are already mentioned or not not mentioned:

Flying Fish
Spoodles
Fulton Cafe (Although this have not been geeting good reviews lately)
Wolfgang Puck Upstairs
The restaurant in Morrocco (name escapes me at this time)
The restuarant in Norway (names also escapes me at this time)

Din,
DW and I have always enjoyed the Biergarten and Norway, but both are foods that meet specific tastes, especially all of the cured and preserved fish at Norway.

hi ? not good food we have then both booked for JUNE thank you
mary:confused:

We ate at Fresh twice in Dec. and just loved it, glad you are going to give it a try. We also did 50's Primetime & Calif Grill and loved them just like always. Have you tried Spoodles, Jiko or Portobello Yacht Club before ? They are all 3 some of our favorites at WDW.

At MK we like LTT, at Epcot can't imagine not stopping at LeCellier, at MGM we like 50's PTC, at AK breakfast at Donald's Breakfastasouraus is delicious. On the boardwalk we always have to stop at ESPN for the "men" in the family. We like to go to Beaches and Cream for dessert.

I might suggest Jiko instead of Boma if all adults. Also, Coral Reef is pricier at dinner, but it is a relaxing meal and the diver's add a little bit of magic. If you are looking for really special, you may want to look at Victoria and Alberts.

MARY:bounce: :Pinkbounc :earsgirl: :D

No PS needed for Beaches and Cream. If you are wanting to sit inside you may have a wait, depending on the time of day.

Congrats on the PS's you have! You will have a great time!

We discovered dinner at Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge on our last trip, and we loved it. Our server was fantastic--he made helpful recommendations and even brought me a sample of some soup I was considering ordering to be sure I would like it. Our food was really outstanding, and it was a nice, relaxing atmosphere. The berry cobbler for dessert was great--it's not like southern style cobbler, but it is so very good. We look forward to our next meal at Artist Point. It's a great combination of slightly upscale while still relaxed.
