I know I read somewhere on here (several places I'm sure!) about signing up for restaurant emails or something before we travel to get coupons etc off our meals. Does anyone have any recommendations of eateries to join? And how far in advance should I join their mailing club? I read here that it shouldn't be too far in advance in case the coupon expires. Thanks guys!

I've been on the Olive Garden mailing list for years (since I lived in the US) and they regularly send coupons, I would say at least every 2 weeks.

I get regular email offers from Chili's, Friendlys, Logan's Roadhouse and Texas Roadhouse.

Ihop send a voucher on sign up but it is store specific so make sure you pick the right one.

We get vouchers for Olive Garden all the time.

Texas de Brazil do a coupon on sign up then for birthdays although we still haven't made it there.

Earl of sandwich offer a free sandwich on your birthday.

I signed up to Bubba Gumps. They say they send you a voucher for your birthday month. Am hoping I get sent one before we go.

mimis cafe - often send a free meal coupon
sweet tomatoes - sometimes a free meal or % off
few places do free appetisers - tgi, logans,
texas de brasil - 25% off or free meal for anniversary or birthday

Offers do change all the time

If you don't mind emails sign up now and get on mailing lists. Some places send offers monthly or is there if a holiday/special event. Olive garden sent me one this week for a free kids meal as it was take your child to work day!

Then just before you go say 3 days before sign up again with a different email address - reason for this is the join up offers only last 7 or 14 days.

has a membership "club" for points. There is a $25 cost but you get a $25 reward right away, plus $25 free on your birthday month. There are some mailing dates to be aware of, but they seem to be set up to account for that electronically (but check the rules to be safe).

And then there are special offers as well and possibly points for merchandise purchases (not positive on this last one).

This membership is probably worth it if you dine at WDW locations of T-REX, Rainforest Café, Yak and Yeti, and blanking on this one (I think there is another one).

Sweet tomatoes send out emails every 2 weeks, and the offers are only valid for 2 weeks. We signed up 2 weeks before we went away and we were sent a buy one get one free and 3 buy one get one half price offers. We managed to use all but one of them!!!!

Chevvys at Crossroads do something similar too, free appetiser I think.

If you go to a Golden Corral, they always have coupon booklets in the lobby with loads of offers for other restaurants in them.

I usually print out the vouchers before I go but they aren't always valid for long enough. I have heard that Sweet Tomatoes will accept the email on a smart phone and I am hoping that's still the case in July as we will be there for 3 weeks and wont have access to a printer.

Anyone know if the other restaurants need the actual paper voucher or will the emails do it?
