Restaurants near Illuminations?

Hi everyone!
I was wondering, besides the patio of the Rose and Crown, are there other nice places to sit down or restaurants- to see Illuminations? This will be our first time to WDW and I'd really like it to be special for Dh and the kids. thank you all.

I'm pretty sure that R & C is the only sit-down restaurant with a good view of Illuminations. You might want to look into an Illuminations cruise. If you share one with another family it won't cost much more if any than a sit-down dinner and you can't beat the view!

The Mexican cantina has tables with a nice view, but there are no reservations taken there. We've never been able to get a table there. There are a few tables on the second floor of Chefs de France (is it still called Bistro de Paris?) that have some view of the show, but I'd imagine its a hundred times harder to get one of those tables than to get at decent table at the Mexican cantina.

I second theoutdoor table at Mexico if you're willing to stake out early


But we found out (accidentally) that the view just outside of Teppanyaki is great.

Just time your PS ot where your meal will end just before 9.

Great way to top off a great meal.
and the plaza in japan was not crowded at all.

Thank you all. I wasn't sure, but i thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. I'm sure I can find items I like at all those places. I'll have to check out that thread on the illuminations cruise.
