There are several restaurants at the Epcot area resorts. Exit the resort and turn LEFT. The BoardWalk is ~1/2 to 1 mile, on the right. Park there and walk around Crescent Lake to visit the restaurants at the BW, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin resorts. Most are casual.
There are also several restaurants, like Rainforest Cafe, in the Downtown Disney area. Exit the resort and turn RIGHT. DD is ~1/2 to 1 mile, on the left.
If you go further, past DD to the traffic light and turn RIGHT again, onto Hotel Plaza Blvd (follow signs for I-4) and go another mile, you'll come to another traffic light. At this light, STRAIGHT through, Crossings has a couple restaurants. Or, turning LEFT, you'd come to a Denny's, Giordano's Pizza and an Olive Garden within 2 blocks along the right side. Or, turning RIGHT, you'd go less than ~1/2 mile (under I-4) and turn LEFT for Bahama Breeze and at least 2 other restaurants, I'm sure.
There are plenty of family-friendly, casual restuarants within a few miles of Bonnet Creek. All will require a car or a cab ride, as there are no sidewalks along most of these roadways - and traffic is heavy. HTH!
