Restaurants inside the parks

Do the restaurants inside the parks close when the park does? I was specifically wondering about Animal Kingdom because it closes at 5 on the day we'll be there.

Yes, the restaurants close when the parks do, for the most part. Do you mean a specific restaurant? Some of the table service restaurants stop taking reservations a bit prior to park closing - maybe an hour or so. If you mean Rainforest Cafe, no, that will still be open. Not seating new diners much beyond park closing, but not throwing anyone out, either. The counter service locations should be serving pretty much right up to, and perhaps a bit beyond, when the park closes.

Thanks, that's helpful. I was just trying to figure out if we should plan on dinner somewhere else on that day and it appears that we should.

If you are able to make a reservation, then they won't throw you out. For example, if the park closes at 6:00 PM and you have a 5:30 time, they won't make you eat really fast. They will not sit anyone after 6:00 PM. There will still be people in the park as the stragglers are herded out.
