DH has a business trip in Vegas at the end of the month and I get to tag along. I have one request -- to eat in one of the fabulous restaurants located there.
But which one? :confused3

Would you tell me where you would go/have gone? Thanks for helping me decide! :thumbsup2

If you like buffets, The Bellagio is the biggest and best I have ever been to.

I really like The Range which is a steakhouse in Harrah's. (think 40-100 per person)

But there are some really good "name" Resturants in the Belliagio, Ceaser's, and MGM Grand. Wolfgang Puck, Emrils, (I can't remember the one in Bellagio but it's got a tasting menu that has gotten raves.

Check out www.openvegas.com it is a board much like Dis, and they talk about the food all the time.

We ate at the Mexican place in Treasure Island. Isla Mexicana or something like that. It was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorites:

Emeril's New Orleans Fish House--MGM Grand Hotel

Emeril's Delmonico Steakhouse--The Venetian (you can take a gondola ride afterwards!)

Renoir--The Mirage (if you love fine art and fine food, this is great!)

Also, the following at Paris Las Vegas

Le Provencal--excellent food and not too expensive
Eiffel Tower restaurant--amazing view of Vegas!

Where are you staying?

If by fabulous, you mean a 5 star ranked restuarant, my favorite is Picasso at Bellagio. If you are going at the end of the month, you might hit the timing to have their truffle menu. I can't even begin to tell you how good that food is. And sitting in the restaurant with those Picassos, looking out at the fountains, is a real treat.

Joel Rubichon's at MGM is also outstanding.

If you are wanting good but not 5 star, I'm a huge fan of Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill at Caesars or Mario Batali's B&B Ristorante at Venetian.

And my favorite breakfast is Thomas Keller's Bouchon in the Venezia tower at the Venetian. OMG, those made to order beignets with the fresh chocolate sauce are worth the trip to Las Vegas just for those.

I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere. The hotel is a little sketchy, but the food was great, and the view was amazing!

We loved Red Square-- Russian themed restaurant at Mandalay Bay. Food is sort of Russsian-- stroganoff, potato pancakes, but you can get steak/mashed potatoes. Not super expensive.
Stack at the Mirage was sooo yummy-- think classic American food done upscale. We had the pigs in a blanket appetizer (SO amazing), and then steak for entrees. DBF has these amazing fries and I had the "build your own" loaded baked potato. They bring you the cheese, sour cream, bacon, scallions, and butter and you dress it as you like. Fun and delicious!
Where are you staying? The strip is easy to navigate, but if you're going to be in heels, you'll want a restaurant in/around the hotel you're staying in!

If you will have a car or are willing to spring for cab fare: Rosemary's on West Sahara. It's in a strip mall and looks like nothing much, but oh!!!!!

My favorite forum for Las Vegas (sorry, Judy :umbrella: ) is everythinglv.com. Here's the link for their member restaurant suggestions/advice http://www.everythinglv.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=8 and here's the link for professional and member reviews http://www.everythinglv.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12.

And of course the DIS has its own Las Vegas subforum, under the Disneyland section :)

DH just got back from a LV business trip a few days ago. The 2 standouts were Tao and Delmonico's. Both at the Venetian. DH said the steak he had at Emeril's Delmonico's was the best he has ever eaten! He has had a lot of steak over the years too!! Oh, he also LOVES the gumbo from Emeril's! It is served at the Fish House too. We ate there 10 years ago!

Can't beat the $6.99 steak dinner at Ellis Island. Comes with salad, potato, veggie, and bread. If I recall correctly, a liter of wine was $9. Place isn't much to look at, but very budget conscious (sp). I think they have a $4 steak and egg breakfast offering also.

I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere. The hotel is a little sketchy, but the food was great, and the view was amazing!

The Strat is awesome. But unless you have a reliable ride back to your hotel at night I wouldn't recommend it. The area is reeeally shady at night and my friends and i nearly got mugged when we missed our bus and had to walk.

We just got back from Vegas and had some wonderful meals:

Emeril's Delmonico Steakhouse
Mix at the top of THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay
Eiffel Tower Restaurant
NoBu at Hard Rock.

We loved Onda in The Mirage -- really good! Italian, but DH had the salmon and said it was wonderful!

Voted "Best Italian Restaurant" by the Las Vegas Concierge Association, Onda offers classic-rustic Italian cuisine with American innovations.

We loved Red Square-- Russian themed restaurant at Mandalay Bay. Food is sort of Russsian-- stroganoff, potato pancakes, but you can get steak/mashed potatoes. Not super expensive.

Red Square has the best bar in all of Vegas! It is made of ice and features amazing vodka drinks from all over the world. I highly recommend it!

We really enjoyed the following places, neither if which is 5-star but then again neither will break the bank.

1. FIAMMA in MGM Grand...the Lobster Gnocchi is out of this world!!
2. Mon Amie Gabi in Paris...try and get a patio seat, great for people watching and has a spectacular view of the Bellagio Fountain Show.

the Effiel Tower Resturant in Paris-the fixed price tasting menu is a good value and you dont get overfull-and they have an amazing wine cellar.

Gallaghers in NYNY does a darn good steak and their 4 cheese mac and cheese is awesome.

The breakfast buffet at Paris is a fav-also Delmonicos. Olives in the Bellagio is a good mid range place.

Definitely Lawry's. (Like the seasoned salt) Their main dish is prime rib and it is fabulous. I was just there last weekend and it was amazing. It's on the pricey side but well worth it! The wait staff is all very nice and its is just to die for. Please excuse my text speak. Like OMG srsly. Its awsom. 4rlz. just do it. u wont regret it
