Restaurants (in the parks) closing time

I was wondering if the restaurants (in the parks) stay open past the park closing time ....or open early? We would like to eat at some of these but don't want to use park 'open' hours sitting around eating.

Thanks.

The only place we ate at close to closing time was Bengal Barbecue and they closed an hour before park closing time that night.

from what I understand, the character breakfast at the Plaza Inn, you can make your PS before the park opens, but not much more. I will be making my reservation soon, so I will let you know.

Other than that no, they don't open/close when the park isn't open. You can always go to Downtown Disney though. Their hours are generally longer than the park hours.

You can eat before DCA opens by eating at Ariel's Grotto. We've done that before. There have also been reports of people eating at the Plaza before DL opens, as the PP said, but I've never done that, we usually eat there around 10 and that works out great. :) The only things open later then the park are the shops on Main Street, and the restaurant there is closed before the park closes. DTD will have places to eat open, so will Harbor.

Thanks for the info. Looks like we'll have to eat outside the parks. No big deal.

I know this isn't really what you are asking, but I thought I might help with a different perspective.

You said that you "don't want to use park 'open' hours sitting around eating." Why? Some of the restaurants in the parks are wonderful experiences and can be a fun part of your Disney visit. Instead of looking at it as sitting around time, why not view it as part of your visit?

It's good time to visit, time to recharge, to enjoy the themeing of the restaurant and area.

Some of our best Disney memories are from dining experiences.

Just some thoughts for you,

Thanks for the suggestion and it really is a great idea.....but - when my wife and I vacation, we go non-stop. Then we get home and need a vacation. :rotfl2: Hopefully someday we can slow down a little (and I'm sure it is coming) but until then, no rest on vacations for us. Maybe if we accomplish most of what DLR has to offer the first couple days, we can take it a little easier the last couple. We'll see.

Thanks.

Haha, me and my boyfriend are the same way. We wake up at 2, drive to DL and get there by 8, go all day running around riding the rides, then finally we go to sleep at the hotel by about 1am. Over the summer we kind of wanted to go somewhere other than disneyland to be able to have a relaxing vacation. I am sure once we get older and maybe have kids we will definitely slow it down a bit.

Don't count on it....LOL

This is us too, we like to go go go.....but when we get hungry we want to sit down and eat. TS or CS both parks have so many dining choices that we want to stop to eat. :)
