Restaurants in the $15-35 range

So...I'm considering possibly dropping my Le Cellier dinner reservation because of the high price. The way I plan my schedule for that particular day I might be hopping from Epcot to DHS sometime in the afternoon. Depends on where I plan to have dinner.

Could you recommend me a Table Service restaurant in the medium price range ($15-35) within those two parks? I don't get out to WDW much so I wanna try a restaurant that would one of a kind Disney experience.

I also might drop my reservation for Jungle Skipper Canteen at MK as I am not fond of the menu. Depends if I can find a good alternative.

I love Via Napoli and if your dropping Skippers canteen maybe try a monorail resort restaurant like the wave or the Grand Floridian Cafe. Good luck!

We like Mama Melrose's at DHS a lot, although a lot of people do not. In Epcot I would go with Rose and Crown, Chefs de France, Restaurant Marakesh, and Nine Dragons depending on your particular taste.

We loved Via Napoli. Our family of 4 had the large pizza at $29 (+$1.75 for a 1/2 topping). All in, for the pizza, two glasses of wine and tip was about $60, so around $15 pp

If you drop Skipper's, we were a big fan of BOG. I had the steak, DH had the chicken, 2 kid's meals and 2 glasses of wine were around $125. If you're willing to hop on the monorail to a resort, the Grand Floridian Cafe was great. Our food was delicious, service was awesome, and the bill for 4 of us with too was about $80.

Have you thought of getting something smaller at Le Cellier like poutine and a dessert? We did it out of pocket at 2pm one day and I did beer cheese soup and poutine and mom some salad on a rock (as I called it) and poutine. We had leftovers to take with us (a full poutine and a half of one).

I vote sangria with baked brie and garlic shrimp at Spice Road Table at Epcot.
Runner-up is either the taco sampler or shrimp tacos at La Hacienda de San Miguel.
Margarita flight and a small Cobb Salad and Slider Trio or Crispy Bites at the Lounge at the Hollywood Brown Derby at DHS.

After some thought, I'm gonna hold onto my Skipper Canteen reservation ftm. I was pretty late to the ADR game so the chances of me getting anything in BOG or CRT (the only MK places I was interested in) are pretty much out.

However I am still considering dropping Le Cellier and not just cause of price. As I am park hopping for most of the days I will be there, the goal is to park-hop from EP to DHS in the evening (depending on when the SW fireworks shows are). I don't know when particularly in the day this will happen but it might be by mid afternoon.

With that in mind I think it would be better instead for me to find a TS at Epcot during Lunch as opposed to Dinner and then when my friend and I go to DHS in the evening we'll hit Pizzerizzo's or another QS establishment for dinner. Thus less stress on the schedule if I plan to use FP+ in DHS. (Haven't figured that out yet.)

If I can't a get TS lunch reservation no big deal as we're on the Quick Service Dining plan anway.

Between Epcot & HS, I suggest Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club Resort. In HS, our fave restaurant is 50s Prime Time Cafe.

I don't think it will be easy to get a meal and include the tip near the $15 price range. But you might be able to do the $35 range. Check out the menus on the Disney Website for each restaurant, Allears.net and right here on the DIS.

We like both Marakesh & Rose and Crown and if you check out the menus in advance I think you could find things in the price range. At Marakesh I do the app sampler for 2 and don't come close to finishing if that might be of interest.

For a uniquely themed restaurants, I'd suggest San Angel Inn in Epcot.

The prices at Disney for food are just crazy (but really, food prices in general are up all over the place .. I mean you can't even get out of an Applebees for less than $15/person unless you forgo a drink or dessert. Just do what I do and ignore it. Splurge. You aren't here that often. You are on vacation. Find the savings elsewhere. Stay one fewer day, cut the souvenir budget, eat breakfast in your room, pack a lunch, etc.


DHS? I enjoyed Prime Time Café. Nothing special in the food department (home cookin), but neat atmosphere.

I would suggest Be Our Guest at MK .. a very unique atmosphere and different food (but not cheap compared to other restaurants).

Epcot? It really depends on your tastes I guess. Honestly I wouldn't skip Le Cellier and just splurge. Cut some cost elsewhere to make up for it like I mentioned above.
I loved that place when I went years ago, but we had the dining plan then which makes that place QUITE affordable. (One of the few TS restaurants that make the dining plan seem worth it).

Our best table service on our current trip was sci fi in Hollywood studios. So many good counter services in epcot.

The only entrees on that menu that looks good or I can maybe handle are the Char Siu Pork or Trader Sam's Shrimp with white rice, so I'll likely get one of those two. Plus this is a newer restaurant and I was lucky enough to even get a reservation around dinner time.

As much as I've always wanted to try Le Cellier's Cheddar Soup, I'm not sure if the $50 steak entree in addition to that will be worth it. Neither of us are made of money and we would have to pay for this one out of our own pockets. But I'll think about it. I could go for poutine but I can't live without meat. It's a weakness.

Request: Does anyone know of any good websites on Disney restaraunts that show pictures of all or at least most of the entrees? Visuals help alot for me.

Yup! Three mini margaritas! They also do a mini martini flight which is equally delicious!

You can try Yelp for pictures or Disneyfoodblog... I see more recent pictures on Yelp though.
