I know this isn't a Disney related question, so I ask that you humor me. My DH and I are taking a weekend anniversary vacation to Niagara on the Lake next month. Can anyone recomend some restaurants? We are staying at a B&B, so I only need to find 1 place for lunch and 2 places for dinner. I've looked at a lot of websites and gone to many of the individual restaurant sites to peruse the menus. I'm not sure what's good, what's overpriced, what's bad, etc...
If at all possible, I'd like to keep our budget in check and only spend around $50 for lunch and $75ish for the dinners.
Any recomendations? TIA!

The Olde Angel Inn is a wonderful place to eat -- fine pub food, great selection of beers on tap. You'll definitely get away from there with your lunch and/or dinner budget intact.

The Oban Inn was always a nice place to eat when I lived and worked in NOTL several years ago.

For those moments when you are feeling peckish -- stop in at Taylor's on Queen St. for a sausage roll or a piece of shortbread. The shortbread always tasted like there was about a pound of butter in each piece. Absolutely delectable.

Check out the Henry the VIII dinner at the Buttery. It's a blast. I second the Angel Inn. Great food!!

Henry the 8th dinner will put you over the 75, The Angel Inn is perfect, also The Anchorage can be reasonable. The big restaurants are quite expensive, far beyond $75.00. You could get a nice lunch in the bar area at the Prince of Whales for $50.00 I would think if you want someplace nice to sit. That would not include alcohol though if that is what you were looking for.

Oh, one more place, for dinner or lunch is the Niagara-on-the-lake Golf Club. The food is very good and very reasonably priced.

Hope you have fun!!

Cant remember the name but it is a hotel and restaurant in an old Cannery - Very nice

Went to HS in NOTL and worked there. I would highly recommend the Henry the Eighth feast at the Buttery and the Oban Inn (Oban has a beautiful view). I also like the Prince of Wales hotel (pricey) and Queenston Inn at Queenston Heights (also a beautiful view)-I had my wedding there!

Oh yeah, Taylor's! I forgot about Taylor's! Great place to stop. You can pick up a picnic lunch there and take it down by the gazebo to eat (walking distance). I also liked to pick up a picnic lunch at Harvest barn which is on Hwy 55 near the high school (I hear they have a McD's near there now! Ack!)

It has been far too long since I have been to NOTL.
