ok - I admit it - I have not been doing a lot of planning or research for this trip! 2 1/2 months to go & I am getting a late start making reservations.

I am confused about Mexico's dining options. I thought one restaraunt closed & another one opened, but the more I read I am not sure anything closed? Exactly what are my dining options in Mexico & what are the differences between them all?

The San Angel is a TS in the Mexio pavillion. The La Haceinda is the new restaurant that I think is TS only for dinner. I think there is also a CS - Cantina :confused3 During our 11 night stay in January I made an ADR at San Angel for lunch and La Hacienda for supper.

Nothing closed. Inside os still San Angel Inn TS lunch and dinner. Outside by the water is La Hacienda Ts for dinner only. There is also an outdoor CS for lunch and dinner.

The CS by the lake closed temporarily while they built the new table service restaurant. I believe it reopened about a month or so ago when the new place opened.

oh, ok! now I understand! So, what is the difference between the 2 table service restaurants - besides their locations?

At La Hacienda you can view the fireworks. We ate there last week and the food was very good. The view was nice and they pipe the music in too. San Angel Inn was good too. I ate there in August. If I had to pick I would choose La Hacienda.

The menus are different at La Hacienda de San Angel and the San Angel Inn. The Inn is also open for lunch, whereas Hacienda is not.
