Already booked a luau through the Polynesian Cultural center

ack-even if you dont drink please please please go to another luau somewhere else-the shows at PCC are awesome-the night show was amazing-and the Hawaiian rendition of the lords prayer is really special-but the food is compared to luau food ive had else where.

One of my friend's DD lives there now attending UH-her family is originally from there. she will facebook pictures of her at places just to taunt us here in Va. but they don't have CHic fil a or some other places, so it's a running joke.

Scratch the shrimp truck then! I haven't eaten here, but Anthony Bourdain liked it, and I trust a New Yorker about hot dogs. I think it sounds delicious!

OMG! I thought I died and went to heaven when I found Puka Dog right by my hotel. Mild with mango relish and lilikoi mustard. Mmmmm....!!!

Ok, if you have a rental car, it is really worth a trip to the North Shore and hit up Giovanni's Shrimp Truck. It is just about the sketchiest place you could ever eat at, but you must trust me and if you like shrimp scampi, this Hawaiian version is TO DIE FOR. Then it Matsumoto's for shave ice (get it with the ice cream, it's really worth it).

Brings back great memories of my Hawaii trip with family. This little side trip for lunch is still the talk of the trip. Just beware, there are chickens everywhere...my mother had a hard time eating her lunch but I had heard about it and couldn't resist. None of us regret going there and seeing the North Shore is a must-do so why not stop for a local lunch!
