Restaurants in Burlington, Illinois

My daughter is sending a care package for one of the Comfort Dogs that went to Sandy Hook. She bought several things for the dog but wanted to get the handler a gift card. I am in Tennessee and need to know if any big chain restaurants or even Starbucks is close to Burlington, Illinois.

I drive thru Burlington, IL often and NO, there is nothing there, except a gas station. However there is major shopping with all the usual chain restaurants (chilis, applebees, lone star, steak and shake) about 25-30 minutes away.

Agreed. Nothing IN Burlington, but a lot close by.

DeKalb, IL, which is home to Northern Illinois University, is only about 15 minutes from Burlington. There is a major thorofare on the east side of Dekalb that has everything and anything that a person could want or need for shopping and fast food. Pretty much anything that is a national chain has an location in either Dekalb or Elgin, which is about 20 minutes from Burlington in the other direction.

I live about 10 minutes from Burlington. You can assume that the handler is already traveling to Elgin or DeKalb for most of his/her shopping. I know that I always have to drive 10 - 20 mintues to do any of my shopping, banking, eating out, etc.
