Restaurants in Animal Kingdom?

If the Animal Kingdom is open until8:00 in June, then are there restaurants open for an early dinner? I'm thinking of getting there early, leaving for lunch and rest at resort and returning in time for the parade, dinner and a few more attractions. Will that work?

AK does not have any table service except RFC.

Tusker House is a great Counter Service Restaurant with a lot of sitting places. The food is very good.

The counter service restaurants at AK have closed quite a bit earlier than the park, somewhere around 3pm. It will be interesting to see if they decide to keep one or two open for the later park hours. Maybe EE will have an impact. I love Tusker House and wish it was open later.

I hope the restaurants stay open later since the park is open until 8:00 PM in June. If not, I guess we'll have to rethink our plan. Maybe we'll just stay at the park until$;00 and leave to go back tio the resort to eat.

OK, so I answer my own questions. While searching Allearsnet for something else, I came upon hours for Flame Tree BBQ, Pizza Planet, and Restaurantsaurus. All are open until at least 7:00 PM in case anybody else was wondering.

In Oct we couldnt really find any decent food in AK, we went to Chef Mickey's for dinner and had hotdogs at the park

DONALDS BREAFASTAURUS is a great fun place for breakfast and the food is good too! the characters are dressed in safari clothes...and the waiters are super fun!

We had the dining plan so we were always eating! The Flame Tree BBQ is very good. There meats are smoked. I usually dont like smoked meat.
We really enjoyed it. We sat in the back surrounded by trees, plenty of shade. My DH thinks AK is the hottest park. He said it was hard to find shady spots there. I thought all the parks were hot we went in June!
This year we are going for Christmas!!

When I was at AK in August, EMH eve was until 8:00. Pizzafari was open until 7:00. I don't think Flame Tree BBQ or Tusker House were open during EMH. But IMO, the hot deli sandwich at Pizzafari is the best! I tried Flame Tree BBQ and Tusker House previously, but keep going back to Pizzafari.
