Restaurants close to Nick Hotel

Hi, I am taking my Brownie troop here in May. I was there last year and I think we ate at Ponderosa or Golden Corral, really close. Anyone know for sure the name and if there are any coupons?? Also any other ideas where to eat? How about breakfast?

There is a Ponderosa very close but it is lacking a little in cleanliness. You would be better driving the other way onto 192 in Old Town and there is a ton of restaurants down there. As far as coupons, just pick up one of those "Florida Attractions" books in the Nick Hotel Mall and there is discount coupons for just about every place around. My kids loved Cicis' Pizza buffet and it was dirt cheap. With a coupon from the book - even cheaper! It is about a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Try to avoid the Sizzlin Grill, that place was HORRIBLE!!!

Oh, also that Cici's in Old Town was also serving breakfast very cheap. Not sure if they still do but it is worth checking out. Breakfast at the Ponderosa was so-so, but the coffee was gross. Hope that helps!

The Nick hotel is on 536 real close to 535,if you go north on 535 for like less than 5 minutes you're in the Lake Buena Vista area,with several restaurants to choose from.Bahama Breeze, Golden Corral,Pizzeria Uno, Giordano's,Crab House,Joe's Crab Shack, there's a bunch more these are just the ones coming to mind.All this area is also right by the entrance to Downtown Disney.The Golden Corral usually has these coupon books at their exit with 10% discount coupons for Golden Corral on the cover as well as other coupons inside,so if you can go inside the restaurant and grab one before eating you'll save something!!
