Restaurants Around DHS

On the day that we are going to DHS, we have one TS credit to use from the DDP. None of the options look particularly appetizing to us. So, I thought what we would do would be to make a late ADR for after park close for one of the resort restaurants that is near DHS. We are going in January and it looks like DHS usually closes at 7pm.

So, are there any recommendations on where we should dine? Also, how late do the resort restaurants usually offer ADRs for this time of year?

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Your one credit options in the Epcot resorts area are: Spoodles, Cape May, Beaches & Cream, Big River Grill, ESPN and Captain's Grille. Cape May is a buffet. I don't think any of the others are buffets for dinner.

My favorites in the area either cost 2 credits or don't take the dining plan at all. I haven't attended any of the listed ones recently so I won't make any recommendations.

We don't care for any of the 1 TS options in HS so we head up to Cape May Cafe for the buffet and really enjoy it. The Oreo Bon-Bons are my favorite.

If you do your research ahead of time and find out what to pursue and what to avoid, I think Spoodles is the best bet in that area to have a good dinner for one DDP credit. (I do not like Spoodles for breakfast, however) Fantastic bread, oil and other interesting appys . Check out the desserts. They are pretty unique.

Thanks for laying out our options! I think the Spoodles menu looks the most interesting to us. Any idea how late they are open? We would like the latest ADR possible.

Also, how do we get there from DHS? Can we take a boat over to that area?

I'm also worried about how to get back to POP after our evening out. Will we have to go to DTD to catch a bus back or will buses still be running from DHS?

You can take the boat from Studios, it will stop at the Boardwalk. Or you could walk. There is a walking path along the river, between Studios and the Boardwalk.

If Studios is still open when you leave, return there to catch a bus back to Pop Century. If Studios is closed (transportation runs an hour past closing I think, later if they have an Extra Magic Evening at Studios) Downtown Disney is probably your best transfer point for Pop Century.

Now, any ideas how late one can get an ADR at Spoodles? The later the better.

Dinner is usually served between 5:00 & 10:00....Spoodles is great...we are heading back this August after first trying it last year!! Enjoy!
