Restaurants all booked for the week of Dec 11th???

So I was up at 7:00 this morning making my dining ressies and I was very surprised to learn that there were no available times for either Garden Grill or Coral Reef that entire week! Is something going on? I have never not been able to to at least get in. I was told that Garden Grill had changed their hours but didn't realize it was a popular restaurant. I did get Akershus though and I would think that would go first. Any advice for trying to get into these restaurants?

I had the same problem with Garden Grill as well as Tusker House for lunch.

Whats weird is Tusker House for breakfast was available...but no lunch.

As others have posted they are being held right now for candelight packages, maybe things will open up when people book the packages and change their original reservations etc.

One poster said the cm said they have not been loaded into the system yet.

Yup...Me too!! The only 2 restaurants my daughter requested. Must have something to do with Disney loading the Candlelight package..Hopefully they will open up soon.

I had the same problem yesterday with Garden Grill. Is it possible maybe they just dont' have all their times loaded yet? I even looked deep into my 180+10 even though we wouldn't be at Epcot........ but nothing. Really led me to believe they hadn't put anything out there yet. I can see them holding SOME of the times for CP, but not all.

I think last year CP ADR's weren't opened up until late August.

I made my ressies today too, at the 180 mark. I had no luck with Coral Reef either, online or by phone. I agree that it's probably the CP package holding things up. I was able to get Ohana, Crystal palace, Sci Fi, Via Napoli and Boatwrights.. I got on at 5am Central.

For the Epcot restaurants that are very limited, it's very likely the CP packages are holding off blocks of time. This has happened for at least the past 2 years that I've been around these parts . It's a pain, but at least it's not only you that's not getting them.

When the packages get released, more availability for both the CP packages and regular reservations will open up. Over the past couple of years, that's been late August, but they are announcing things a bit early this year it seems.

For Tusker House, this happened last month too for November. Same exact deal. Don't know the reasoning behind it, but I'd suspect that it's a couple possibilities. Either they are planning on doing away with the Nemo preferred seating, or they are debating on whether or not to continue lunch. Or, they just aren't loaded yet (it's been known to happen).

Exactly! This is the week we'll be there too. I tried at midnight online to book but it wouln'd let me. i couldn't get back on till about 6 pm and nothing for Le cellier lunch any day of our trip. I just find it hard to believe every one got on and booked each ressie available. I'm still hopeful of snagging something but was very disappointed. I never book at the 180 day mark and now I try and everything is gone, crazy!!! I also was trying for Garden Grill for the Friday night and nothing last night. This afternoon I was able to find an 8"05 ressie so I took that but I'm hoping something a little earlier will open up, like 7:30 so we can get out to see illuminations!

What is the thing with the CP packages? I assume it cost something so wouldnt' want to do that but what is it about holding packages that some on referring to?

I was hoping this not being able to book wasn't a sign it'd be super packed that week since i was under the impression that crowds still aren't too bad at that time yet!

FWIW....... the system has never let you make online ADR's at midnight. It has always been 6 AM Eastern.

We are going to be there at the same time I sure hope its not super packed to! I got reservations at Garden Grill for 12/14 at 805, Im a little worried with a almost three year old, hopefully the characters will keep her energized. Maybe when they open up the CP packages in August we can call back and get better times Thats my only idea.

Making reservations were stress-full this year, I got all my reservations but one. Le Cellier on the 17th, I am going to try when they open up the CP packages.

I was able to get an 8:05 pm at Garden Grill on Dec 13th. Kinda late for us but at least I got it...will keep checking for an earlier time..stil no luck with Coral Reef.

I just booked 8:10 on the 12th. I think they have not released any times in these places prior to 8 PM.

I also was booking December this morning. I was able to get Crystal Palace, Via Napoli, 'Ohana, and WCC. I could not get LeCellier. I am still deciding about adding in Boma or Sci Fi, but as those are usually easy to get I am holding off. I agree it may be due to the CP packages. As we are only there for a few days, and will probably due DXDP, I will probably go ahead and book a CP package if I can get one.

I have been trying for a week and just now was able to get Garden Grill for 8:05 on December 1st. I know they are only open for dinner now, but I thought it was really strange to not be able to get anything until I read this thread. I hope ya'll are right because if all I can get is 8:05 I'm good ('cause illuminations doesnt start until 9:30 anyway) but I really prefer to eat earlier! Guess we'll just all keep trying....

That is EXACTLY the problem I am having with Tusker House! I want Tusker House for 12/09/11 at 11:30am. I got super frustrated with the online system and finally called. The CM told me that they haven't released lunch reservations for that day yet, and to call back in a few days.

This must be why I couldn't get Le Cellier even at 185 days out...(180 + 10). Maybe we should book the lunch CP package. I was going to try the standby line for the show but now I'm second guessing that decision.
