I can never finish all of my meal when we are dining at Disney and get leftovers packed up to go. All the Epcot restaurants, Jikko and many of the other resort restaurants have containers to take home leftovers so I don't see why they couldn't accomodate a whole meal. Have fun! (And I bet the kids will stay up a little later than you expect.) Plus, if they can sleep through anyhting, have dinner at Epcot and let them crash in the stroller while you two enjoy the park!
Not picking on this post, but you have a valid question, that i think others have as well. It is not an issue of having the boxes to pack up the food. It is a question of volume. A kitchen can only put out so many meals, at some of the more popular venues it may be all the kitchen can do to keep up with customers in the dinning room, doing take out may be more than they can handle. It is just easier for Disney to have a blanket no take out policy. However, if you are going during a slower time and are looking to get take out from a less popular place it doesn't hurt to ask, just have a back up plan.
