Hi,

I need some restaurants suggestions, my DD is a very pickie eater,
all she really like is pizza and pasta and sometimes hamberger, the only problem is i am on the akins diet and can not eat pizza and pasta, I was thinking of cheating while away but I have lost a lot of weight and hate to gain even 1 pound back(it took so long to lose), so does anyone have any suggestions are where we can both enjoy a few nice meals.
Thanks for any help

Pretty much all the resturants have a children's menu with pizza, or at least Mickeyroni and Cheese on it. So I think she would be fine any place. I'm not sure what resturant's offer Atkins type fare. I know that you will get other posts to let you know though.

Good luck!

The Hollywood Brown Derby offers an upscale dining experence at MGM and has lots of salad and meat dishes that would be good for your Diet. Also im almost positive they have a kids pizza.:earsboy:

I would not eat at MK. I think you will find it very hard to find something there that will fit into your plan.
I would suggest coming out of the park for lunch GF Cafe or Konas. Concourse St would be another good location.

At EC, Le Cellier, Tangerine Cafe, Marrakesh
STudios - Brown Derby

Check out the menu page, most locations offer a pizza or spagetti for children. I have also found the restaurants very accommodating for special meal needs.

Maybe you could try Liberty Tree Tavern at MK for dinner. It's a great character meal - one of our favorites! :) They serve sliced turkey, ham & roast beef, veggies & a great salad. You'd just have to steer clear of the rolls & stuffing here. All of the food is great & the characters would be a lot of fun with your DD. At MK you could also eat at El Pirata Y el Perico - they have a really good taco salad that you could eat minus the shell/bowl. Crystal Palace has a great buffet that your DD might enjoy - many different meats & veggies are offered that you could pick from.

I've heard that 'Ohanna's at the Polynesian is good - haven't been there yet. I believe they serve mostly grilled meats & have some kids games your DD might enjoy.

Garden Grille at Epcot is also a fun character meal - they serve a salad for dinner with a couple of different meats/fish & veggies.

Most restaurants will have salads or meat dishes to try - check out some of the menus online before you go to see where you might like to eat. HTH! :)

Thanks for the suggestions, the only thing is my DD is 14 years old, but thinks she 30, and would not do a character dinner, I think it would be fun. I would love to try Ohanas, but I don't think there is anything for her to eat, and how wants a crabby teen.
Thank you again
Diane

Your daughter may surprise you. Mine did! She was 15 on our trip last year and while I was planning she would say things like, "You do know they are just people in costumes, don't you?" Once we got there and saw characters everywhere she was five years old again! I was really glad I had booked two character meals; I think she enjoyed them more than any of us.
