I'm in charge of handling all the travel arrangements for 18 real estate agents going to a sales convention in March in Orlando. We are staying as a group at CSR :cool1: I wanted to do a group dinner our first night but need some suggestions for which restaurant to pick for a large group! I want to give them a Disney experience they will never forget!!!! My first pick was Ohanas and, of course, it is completely booked :headache: Group age ranges from 35-70. Please help! :worship:

I would call Group Dining ASAP and ascertain what is even still available for a group that large.
It is likely your options are very limited in the regular restaurants. ADR's open 180 days in advance, and the popular theme park and resort restaurants book fully well in advance, as you have discovered with 'OHana.
Good Luck

For an in-park restaurant I'd pick Biergarten or maybe Marrakesh. And The Brown Derby has the Bamboo Room which is a bit separated from the main room. For out of a park 'Ohana would have been my pick, we ate there with a group of about 40 in September! Are you interested in a buffet? Maybe Boma. For a spectacular view I'd pick California Grill. Whispering Canyon might be fun. Hoop De Doo Review is good for dinner and a show. I've seen a wedding reception at 1900 Park Fare.

I guess I'd call group dining as a pp suggested and check what there is to choose from. Too bad you didn't have more lead time for this one.

We have had dinner at Cape May with a group that size. Cape May was definitely better than Hollywood & Vine, where despite the size of the group they crammed us into a space that was too small. People weren't able to get in and out to go the the buffet, and there was no room for the plates on the table. We have done a party of 12 at Crystal Palace where the tables were side by side and that was good.

Since you first mentioned Ohanas I'm wondering if you will have passes to get into the Parks or not? That will make a big difference in your dining choices and many of the ones mentioned previously would be eliminated from consideration.

No park passes for Saturday, so it needs to be either resorts or downtown disney. Wish we could eat in Epcot, love Epcot dining!!!
