Hi. Just back from WDW and wanted to give my restaurant reviews. Hope my review help you to plan. I would recommend priority seating as I saw many turned away for table service.

CRT- "C-" Very disappointing. Food pretty good but felt overall atmosphere rushed and hurried and not at all enjoyable. Characters give just minimial attention. This event is not worth all the trouble to book. Don't waste your time or money.

Hollywood Brown Derby -" A+" Excellent food. Excellent service. I would definitely return.

Japanese Tappenaki (? spelling) - "A" - Excellent food - enjoyed by all. Alot of fun watching the food being prepared and interacting w/ the chef. I hope to return here.

Flametree Barbeque - Counter service. Food o.k. - not great but not bad either. Going to avoid this spot next visit. "C+"

Tusker House - Counter service. Food better than at Flametree but still just o.k. I would return here for a quick bite. "B-"

Plaza Restaurant - Good clean, quiet restaurant. Food is good. I would return. Solid "B"

Cape May - Buffet is fair. Food average - nothing special. Service good. I do not want to return. "C+"

Yacht Club Galley - Very average food and service. I will not return. "C"

Beaches and Cream - Ice Cream is very good and I hope to return for ice cream one day. The food is just o.k. I would not wait 30 minutes again for the food.

Ohanna's - Restaurant very very loud. It was difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. The majority of the food was good - except for the meat on skewers - beef, pork, turkey - my husband and I felt the meat was very average at best. The shrimp was good. I would return here. Solid "B"

Well, that's it. We had a ball and can't wait to return. Anyone w/ questions let me know.

Thanks for taking the time to write your reviews. I can't believe the Yacht Club Galley only received a "C." Interesting. :)

Thanks for the reviews. Did you go to Cape May for breakfast or dinner?
TIA

Thanks for the reviews! I am going to have to try Brown Derby. What did you order?

I agree with that rating. It's a restaurant that closes when attendance/occupancy is down. I think the food is no better than average, which is inexcusable given the fact that the Yacht Club is a deluxe hotel. I have had a breakfast buffet that was very mediocre. Food choices were good but the food was luke warm at best. I also agree with Cape May. I like it when it first opened but since then the steamers have gotton progressively smaller.

Thanks so much for posting. :goodvibes

I am still on the fence about 'Ohanna. Is there any way to slow the pace of dinner? It seems as if everything is rushed!

Thank you for posting, I agree with your opinion regarding:

CRT- "C-"
Hollywood Brown Derby -" A+"
Japanese Tappenaki (? spelling) - "A"
Flametree Barbeque - "C+"
Tusker House - "B-"
Ohanna's - Solid "B"

(I have never been to Plaza or Beaches and Cream)

But I think based on your opinion I will cancel my YCG and CM PS's. Those 2 were questionable to me and since I agree with your other reviews I'm going to trust your judgement.

I had a wonderful appetizer - A stuffed chevre cheese and portabella mushroom Ravioli. I choose the fillet of beef which was also perfect. I can't recall what my husband ordered but he was just as impressed as I.

Thanks for the reviews! I can't wait to try Brown Derby next trip, I have heard so many good reviews about it.

I would also give the Brown Derby an A+. Everything about our meal was perfect. Great atmosphere, not too many kids, brilliant understated service but very attentive. I had the Portobello Ravioli, the Cobb Salad, and the Grapefruit Cake and all were delicious and well presented. My wife and I both agreed that our lunch at the BD was the best meal we had eaten in our 2 weeks in Orlando.

Thanks for your reviews. We are going in June, so these are helpful.

As for CRT, that one really gets "up and down" reviews. My friend just called from Disney yesterday and they had been to CRT yesterday morning. They absolutely raved about it. The are real "foodies" too. They said the food was "pretty good" (not great) but they had wonderful character interaction and their two girls (6 and 4) were just so loving it.

It's really a shame that CRT cannot be more consistent.

We've gone to Ohana's twice , and enjoyed both times however the first time we went it was early (between 5 and 5:30 ) it was really quiet and nice - we really enjoyed it - the second time we went it was later and alot more rushed and hectic - still enjoyed the food but if we go back I will make an earlier seating.

Thanks for the reviews - we will be trying Teppenyaki and Brown Derby for the first time this upcoming trip - I can't wait!! :flower:

I agree with the earlier seating at 'Ohana being better. Both times I've been there, we've gone right at 5:30 and we never felt rushed or felt that it was loud. In fact, we were *waiting* for them to start the activities. But, both times we went (or has it been three times now??), the meat has been dry, not inedible, but dry.
