Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

Eat there a lot, John's favorite place.

Nancy do you have the recipe for the pasta and sausage dish? Would love to be able to make it at home.

We enjoy it too...those at Disney and other places too.
We have one in a mall about an hour away. Don't get to that one as often as the ones at Disney :rotfl:
Also been to the one in Las Vegas.
They are fun, the food is good and big portions.
We go every trip.....usually for lunch at the AK one.
It is one restaurant that DD always picks when she goes with us.

Rainforest Cafe either AK or DtD

We have eaten at the one in AK (and a few malls as well). We've always enjoyed them.....the atmosphere is fun with the animals and rainfall around you. I can't remember what I've eaten there, but I don't remember ever having a bad meal there. I do remember ordering the orange creamsickle smoothie at the one in AK, and it was delicious! Reminded me of the Orange Julius drinks that used to be around, but better! :)

We had breakfast there (the one in Animal Kingdom)about 5 years ago. DH said that was the best breakfast ever - he had the Tonga Toast.

My biggest memory is that it was freezing in there!!! It made for a miserable time for me and my daughters.

those recipes--especially the soup--sound really good. I think I want to go there now.

Thanks for looking Nancy. When ever I try I never quite find what I'm looking for.

I have been a safari club member for years. However we go to RFC maybe once year. And actually, we had a late lunch there Christmas Day (at the AK location).
We have always had good service at RFC. But for whatever reason the service at AK has always been better.
I like having the safari club card if for nothing else than FOTL.
Funny someone mentioned it being cold in RFC -- because it was there Christmas Day too. Us and all the tables around us mentioned it to the servers. One group got up and went to another table.
We had the $10 off coupon. Otherwise we probably would not have gone there.
Overall we both think RFC is kinda $teep for what you get.
DH had the beef stew and said it really did not taste any better than those prepared meals that are in the meat section of the local grocery store.
He said it was okay. But for $18 he thought it should be better. He felt like it was just a heat and serve bag.
Later he said had we been thinking we would have eaten at Big River Grill.

Rainforest Cafe either AK or DtD

I love the Rainforest Cafe, it's so much fun, and the food is good as well. I was disappointed when they closed the one near our home, so now I have to wait till we go to WDW in order to eat here again.

YUM! And just an FYI, most of their goodies count as a snack credit if you're using the dining plan.

Not normally a place we go, but this year Jake and I stopped in for a snack. I think it's going to be on the don't miss list for next year. Huge portions, too.

They used to have little apple pies that were delicious, especially with vanilla ice cream. One year after watching Mickey's Philharmagic and smelling the apple pie, DH said "Let's find some apple pie." So we went to the Bakery and sure enough they had small applie pies, just enough for two people. We ate those for two or three years and then then next time we went in to get one, they didn't have them any more. :(

Ate there for the first time last trip while eatting on the Dining Plan. Our breakfast pastry was so good. Looking forward to returning and yes, I would recommend this place to anyone.
