I'm just getting to my restaurant reviews. Actually, I'm lying..this will be my first time. Here goes. I'll rate 1-5, 5 being best of course.
Artist Pointe - 5 - Excellent service, delicious creative menu. Our server was so wonderful. My husband was undecided about getting dessert because he wanted chocolate but didn't like the idea of chocolate bread pudding, their only chocolate offering that night. So he declined. The server brought it anyway ON THE HOUSE. I had the pork chop with mac n cheese and hubby had salmon. I had the best dessert I've ever had at WDW - Artist Pointe Berry Cobbler.
Citricos - 2 - The service was fine but we were totally unimpressed with the food. Hubby ordered lamb chops medium rare and I got filet medium rare. Mine came out medium and hubby's was medium-well. I just kept mine because it wasn't too bad but he sent it back. Okay, it came back again medium to medium well. He said the taste was awful...and of course he didn't want to try it a third time because we had lost faith. They did take it off the ticket but this certainly wasn't what we had expected from Citricos. My steak was just okay, I could have made one better myself. Totally unimpressed and suprised because we had high hopes for this one.
California Grill - 4.5 - Yum. That's all I can say. Excellent food & service and as you know, a killer view.
Land Grille Room - 3 - Well, we like this place. Good food and it's kind of fun. But, the service was't the greatest.
Whispering Canyon - 4 - fun place, good food, good service. We only did breakfast.
Concourse Steak House - 4 - had breakfast there and it was a nice surprise. Delicious eggs benedict and so much fun watching the monorail whisk through.
Kona Cafe - 2.5 - had breakfast there and it's usually our favorite breakfast spot. Service was bad...really bad and the tonga toast wasn't as per usual. Kona coffee was still excellent.
want to ask everyone an important question.
That's it - it was a short trip this year because we also went to Siesta Key, near Sarasota to enjoy the gulf beaches.
I do have an important question. We go every year, sometimes twice. We like to eat at nice restaurants when we go. It's just us, no kids. We're use to a nice dinner costing about $70-$80 tops. All of a sudden, you can't get outta' there for less than $100. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm not cheap or anything but I don't feel real good about spending $100 each evening for a nice meal. We really were, for the first time, disappointed in Disney, for other reasons besides this. I'd love to hear your opinions.
