Just wanted to know what your experiences were with meals at both those establishments.

Thanks!!

I ate at the CP and it was GREAT!! I think it is one of the best character dinings in Disney. The characters are Pooh and friends which are usually Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet. The food is REALLY good there, especially for lunch/dinner (the mashed potatoes are to DIE for! :thumbsup2 ). I highly recommend it for everyone. Everyone in my family absolutely loves it ( :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 from 10 people).

We (DD and I) really loved both. The character interaction was wonderful each time, the food was yummy, and the atmosphere was really nice.

One caveat..... Check the Norway menu at allearsnet.com to see if the menu appeals to you. I really loved the peppery pasta and DD enjoyed her meal as well, but others have complained about the food choices.....

We at at both places in Sept, and loved both. CP is now my favoite "must" eat there! Norway breakfast was great too.

CP we had a 8:30 pm and it was not crowded at all, the park closed at 9:00 that night and no one rushed us out. Our CM was so nice and keep telling us to take our time and enjoy.

Norway we had breakfast and was one of the first that was seated. Our CM brought everything to us and kept coffee and food refills with no problem. Again, they didn't rush us out like some of the other places we have visited. (At CRT we were rushed to eat and the Charcters just smiled for the camera and quickly move to the next table.)

At both places' Charcters were very friendly and spent time with us (just me and my husband).

On our last trip this past October, Crystal Palace was a bit disappointing as compared to previous trips.

Although we were seated quickly, the CM checking in our ADR's was brusque, informing me we might wait 30 minutes.

Our server was a doll. She was cheerful, happily refilling drinks , and not too busy for us.Characters were around repeatedly, and that was great.

The CM serving the prime rib absolutely refused to serve me and two other guests not in my party any other piece of meat after we all said it was waaay raw. We were joking it was "too blue" even for us, and asked if he had another piece. He shrugged and just stood there!

No problem - plenty of other choices. But very un-Disney-like, I thought, especially after the wonderful selection and service we'd received at another buffet that trip (H & V). The dessert selections also seemed to be fewer than H & V.

This may be an unfair comparision, since CP is a character meal and H & V is not. Haven't tried the Princess meal at Norway yet, and this trip could not get into CM's.

JMHO..

CP is on our agenda every trip. We've never gotten a bad meal, character interaction is GREAT and it is a very cool place to eat. There's enough variety or everyone in the family and we really enjoy it. Haven't done Norway so I can't help you there. Did I say CP is fabulous??

We had CP breakfast and Norway Princess Dinner.

CP was awesome as I am a HUGE Tigger fan and we had breakfast on the day we celebrated my b-day. I had a blast!! :yay: :yay: The buffet was very good and I got special treatment from the characters. Piglet wanted my b-day muffin:cake: :bday: and he signed my autograph book P-P-Piglet. Unfortunately the pictures of me with Tigger didn't turn out. but we're going back in Oct. for another try.

We had dinner in Norway with the Princesses. The food was more different than anything I've ever eaten, but it was nice getting to try some new things. The princesses were nice. Snow White kissed DH's autograph page where she signed it. Prince Ali was a hunk. even our waitress thought so.

Both meals were very enjoyable. The kids liked the food at CP better but they aren't very adventurous eaters.

Our first CP experience was this past October. We arrived right on time for an 8:15 breakfast. The greeter immediately started joking with us. It was quiet, the place was beautiful, the food was great (loved that breakfast casserole - my husband and I talked about it for the rest of the day trying to identify everything that was in it). It was totally magical for us, right down to getting all teary eyed when Pooh and Tigger got all cuddly with our 4-year-old nephew (his first trip). Even my kids who are older enjoyed it. I love that place!
