We just got back from Disney on Wed - our first trip with the boys and had a blast!

One of our sons turned 5 on the trip (which was great - so much attention for him!) and our twin boys are just shy of 3yo. We were worried about how they would do at all the sit-down meals we had planned b/c they have nOT been good lately eating out - but they did great!

Crystal Palace Lunch - MK -Buffet -- loved it- good food choices, characters were always in view so it kept the boys entertained - and there were a lot of them to visit with. Gave us a nice amount of time. Love that it's close to the entrance to the park so you don't have to go far once you get there (if in a rush).

Tusker House Lunch -Animal Kingdom buffet --the only disappointment I had the whole trip was that they took photos of us with Donald before we went in- and then we had to pay for them (not included with meal, nor with our PhotoPass purchase). I expected more from Disney... this reeked of other lower-end type places- and bothered me- but that was literally the only bad thing the whole week- so I can live with it (and yes, I purchased the pics, for $31).

Characters were fun in their safari gear - boys loved it... we liked the food choices again. Nice set up. The characters weren't in clear view the whole time where we were seated - but wasn't a problem.

Le Cellier lunch - Epcot full service sit down = YUM. My husband and I were thrilled to be served good food and have a nice "quiet" meal. it's dark in there- even at lunch... the boys kept busy with our iPhones thankfully - since it's not a character meal. I thikn they liked the darkness... cooled and calmed them. The twins liked their pizza, but my older son wasnt' crazy about his noodles- i think b/c he couldn't see them so well in the darker room. We got there right when they started serving lunch and got to hear them sing a Canadian song at the front which was fun.

Garden Grill - Dinner - Epcot . Family style. i wasn't crazy about the set up of this restaurant - it was very noisy... didn't relax us at all (not that dinner with 3 young boys is ever relaxing, but it should be more relaxing then being outside in the heat- and it wasn't really). The restaurant spins slowly so your view changes... some views were more quiet than others. The characters went around and around- so the kids liked being able to watch them from our top level. We liked that it was family style and we didn't have to think about ordering - it all just came out and we could get more of what we liked... trying lots of different things...the warm bread was great, too. My boys loved meeting Chip & Dale here.

Hollywood & Vine- lunch - Hollywood Studios Buffet - We loved this meal! My boys love Disney Jr characters, so it was nice to see them. If your kids don't watch DisJr shows, it won't be so great for you (Handy Manny, June from Little Einstein - my husband kept calling her dora, lol... Oso, Jake from neverland pirates, etc). My boys LOVEd meeting Oso and Jake! The food was again good - nice choices for a buffet.

Sci Fi Dine-In - Dinner, Hollywood Studios Sit down - in cars! Watch movie like drive-in theatre. We LOVED THIS MEAL --- was so relaxing and cooled us off - nice dark room- movies playing that the boys were entertained by... GET THE GLOWING CUPS!!! The boys LOVED their glowing ice cubes- kept them very entertained. I got a ruben and cucumber salad = very good. Great milkshakes, too! This was our most relaxing meal b/c we didn't really have to talk to each other much, lol. We had 3 rows of a car filled up - and was lots of fun. Glad we did it (some said their young kids were scared bc it's dark... one of my twins was nervous but after a few minutes he loved it).

Pinnochio's Haus - Quick Service- MK We LOVED this spot- right next to Small World. We got a seat near the window- so our boys could wave to the boats going into Small World- kept them very entertained. Food was good for fast food.... outer room area is much quieter than inner room - we loved it. Really the only quick service I can recall, lol.

I would make many of the same choices again. Next time I want to add in a princess meal - b/c my boys would enjoy TALKING to characters - and have crushes on a few of the princesses... we didn't see any the whole trip- so next time for sure!

So glad you had a great trip!

I wish I would have seen a post like this before we took our kids to Disney when they were younger. It really would've helped in our planning. I hope this review helps others planning trips with little ones.

Thank you for the honest reviews of what you liked about the restaurants. Helps greatly in planning! I'm thinking of adding Chip and Dale to our trip. :)

The times that we went (Summer 2009 and Summer 2011), the photographer took a picture with our personal camera that was really just as good as their picture. Is that not still an option :confused3
