Hey guys, after flipping through the Restaurant reviews, I've found that reservations are usually needed to get any sort of sit down dining. Is this true? How far ahead should I make reservations? Is it too late for me to do so, now, with only 27 days left until we're gone? Is my family doomed to quick dinners and lunches every day?

You may be ok, we are taking a last minute trip, going up tonight until Sunday and we got CP breakfast, Cape May breakfast, Spoodles breakfast, Le Cellier lunch, Yachtsman dinner and Wolfgang Pucks for dinner.

Ressies are a must...you will still have some choices at this time but I wouldn't wait any longer!!!! Good Luck!!!!:thumbsup2

just figure out where you want to eat and call. I've made all my reservations within the past 2 weeks and had no problem with the places/times I wanted.:thumbsup2

Depends on how many of you there are and how flexible you are with your times. We changed our minds and made several reservations a week before we left.

I'd get my list of places I wanted to eat and call Disney Dining to make ADR's. I agree with the previous posters, you will probably have to be flexible regarding your reservation times. You may just luck out and get exactly what you want.

My friend called to make her ressies about a month in advance because she didn't book her trip till last minute. They leave next week, and didn't have any problems. It will help if you have a small party and if you are somewhat flexible with your times, as jeni1072 stated.

Good Luck! What places do you have in mind?

Thanks for the help guys! I got the family together today and sat them down to decide on where we want to eat. Last time we went to Disney, I really wanted to eat at the Drive-In at MGM, so that's settled for one day. And then, we decided to eat at one of the restaurants in the World Showcase at Epcot. It looks like Japan is winning the vote at the moment, but I have to ask my two friends, who are comming with, tomorrow. The other choices are France and Italy.

What do you guys think of these restaurants? Can anyone point me to any reviews?

The rest of the days, we're just going to wing it. My family really hates planning and this is quite the acomplishment. xD

Sci-Fi I'd go for lunch and stick to burgers and shakes. Onion rings are good too. Teppanyaki is good, but we have hibachi 2 minutes away from us and it's better, so we haven't been going there anymore. We used to always go to Italy until we discovered France, now we've been going to Les Chefs. However, it is all about tastes and what the rest of your group wants. Hope that helps somewhat! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip on Sci Fi. :cutie: So France is pretty good? I've heard some bad reviews. And as for tastes well... We've got a pretty diverse group of picky eaters and adventurous tastes, but we all wanted to try something new while we're down there. :teeth: Walk on the wild side, sort of thing.

Asteldoth, use the 800#, 800-828-0228, choose the option for disney dining, it'll save you a ton if you stay on hold for 10 minutes like I did the other night :)

I hope no one is still on a long distance plan where they pay more than $0.05 per minute. So, savings would be in the $0.50 range at the max. Most people should be paying even less.

If I were you, I would have a backup restaurant in mind for each meal you are planning to go TS. That way, you can get it all reserved in one phone conversation and you won't have to call back if the restaurant you had planned on is booked up.
