Traveling with mother and 4 yr old daughter. We are planning on having breakfasts in our room and light lunches at the MK. Want to have great/memorable dinners. Something enjoyed by adults but mostly by my daughter. What would you recommend as we are 1st timers and not sure what to expect? We are only doing MK and are willing to go to other resort restautants. Chef Mickeys is already a definite. Tell me what's good.

the MK doesn't have outstanding dinner choices. Liberty Tree Tavern was good. The food was yummy and it's a character meal, but it was a bit noisy when I was there. I've never eaten at Tony's, so I can't say anything about there. The Plaza restaurant was good the last time I ate there, although my service was less than desireable. Crystal Palace is always a good bet with the Winnie the Pooh characters. I've never done Cinderella's Royal Table for dinner, but the breakfast was so-so, I'd go more for the atmosphere with the princesses rather than the food. Besides those restaurants, MK is all counter service fast food type places.

As for nearby resorts, the polynesian 'Ohana is supposed to be good. I haven't eaten there but they sound yummy. The Poly also does a luau dinner that looks like fun.

have you checked allears.net? that's the place to go for menus and such.

I was going to say go for breakfasts so you can get in the park early and the food is great but since you want dinner here goes:

Crystal Palace, great fun and food with Pooh and the Gang

I've always loved Cinderella's Royal Table and Liberty Tree Tavern is also good but I've only gone there for lunch.

As two "adults only" Disney Fans - we never miss the Crystal Palace - and an opportunity to get our pictures with Tigger, Piglet, Pooh, Eyore and friends! We've always enjoyed the food there - and have a ball watching all the children as the characters make their way around the room. Ohana is also a good choice. It's family style meal sharing, a good bit of variety, and a couple of fun coconut races for the kids. The other dinner that is great fun (we took 13 yr old niece and 4 year old nephew last year) is the Hoop Di Do Review over at the Wilderness Campground. Very interactive, again, family style meal sharing (check out the menu on the website) - a lot of fun for kids and adults (you'll come out singing the theme song!). Hope some of this is helpful!

Chef Mickey's as you already mentioned is a must.

Some other suggestions for the three of you...

Coral Reef in Epcot
Cinderella's Royal Table @ MK
Crystal Palace @ MK

I recommend the Crystal Palace...it is one of our favs. Also I have never been to but have heard and read really good things about the Whispering Canyon Cafe @ the WL....we are going to try it for the 1st time when we go in Sept. :)

Here's another vote for Crystal Palace. My family loves it especially for breakfast.

Definitely, go to Crystal Palace. The Pooh characters are great; they even let the kids get up for a parade around the restaurant. Also, I think the food is really good. There is a great variety that will certainly please the adults in your group.

The Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge is a fun place to eat. Again, they let the kids get up for parade-like activities. I also think the food is good. You can get there via a nice boat ride from the Magic Kingdom.

We loved Crystal Palace, both for breakfast and dinner
Liberty Tree tavern is really good too
Never been to the Cinderellas Royal Table, but I"m sure she'd love that place!!!
