I will be on the DDP solo and am looking to make one last ADR. I'll be finishing up a day at the Magic Kingdom, probably leaving around 6:00 PM.

Looking for a 1TS restaurant outside of the parks. Right now I'm considering Raglan Road and Sanaa but am very open. Great seafood a plus, no buffets, AYCE or character meals.

I already have ADRs at:
Mama Melrose (FDP)
Tiffins (RoLDP)
Jungle Skipper Canteen
Chefs de France

Thanks!

Depending on when your trip is dusk at Sanaa is a gorgeous setting and one of my personal favorites.

Those are both great choices! Sanaa would be faster to get to... simply take the bus to AKL Kidani Village. Right outside of the restaurant is an amazing animal viewing area. That choice will give you more than just a dinner. Raglan Road is a very fun lively atmosphere! Obviously, you would have tons of shopping to do there. I just think it would be a long trip from MK to DS, and then to get to Raglan Road. Dinner would have to be very late. Whatever your choice, you can't go wrong. They are both great restaurants!

Someone traveling solo may have a bit of 'free time' and/or the ability to cover a bit more ground than a group, so I would consider Animal Kingdom Lodge to be worth a journey - I think it's the best themed hotel (and we mostly stay at Contemporary & Swolphin). Best enjoyed during daylight hours to see the animals on the Savannah. There are many vista points to be enjoyed throughout the resort. Same is true for Sanaa - enjoy during daylight to view the animals. And with Tiffins & Skipper Canteen on your list, the 'exotic' cuisine seems to be OK for you. Oh, to be considered, Disney did not make going resort-to-resort very easy if using their transportation.

Raglan Road is a fun place for a person traveling solo because it's intended to be a lively place (that may work best if you enjoy being around folks who enjoy adult beverages). I cannot speak to other places in Disney Springs where I've not yet visited, but my research would include Boathouse, Paddlefish, and Homecoming (we will be eating at 2 of these when we make final ADR decisions next week). Jock Lindsey's could be on your radar for bar-with-food too. Sorry, but I am not sure I took Disney Dining-Credits into account.

Honestly, I think if you went to Sanaa for lunch, you can then easily take Disney transportation to Disney Springs and check it out on the same vacation. And if you cannot get to Sanaa (or Animal Kingdom Lodge) during daylight, then I'm sure I'd have a different calculus.

Thank you everyone!

I ran a quick search and availability at Sanaa was very limited so I grabbed an 8:05, Raglan Road still had plenty of times.

Given a choice I tend to prefer seafood and vegetarian dishes. Otherwise I'm pretty easy to please. I'm mostly looking at seafood because I rarely have a Dining Plan and would like to take advantage of that. I eat a lot of veggie entrees when I'm paying OOP :)

I've never been to Sanaa, the menu is not very DH friendly, but would really like to try it. We do eat at Raglan Road fairly often-usually beers and appetizers-but I love their risotto and bread pudding!

Y'all got me to thinking about logistics. Aren't there buses from the parks to Disney Springs after 4:00 PM? I thought that I read this somewhere. If I opt for Sanaa I'd probably decide to Uber back to Pop.

Thanks again!

Either of our choices are great. Raglan Road is a restaurant I have not been to and I am anxious to give it a try next time I am at WDW.

Raglan Road is one of my faves. Love the menu, the atmosphere, and the dancers! Their entertainment is amazing! This would be my choice. Fun fact: did you know that many elements of the pub were made in Ireland then brought to the US for reassembly? :)
