Your welcome. I actually booked one of the last dinner ADR's available and by the time we arrived, there was only about 4-5 families left in our section and it emptied out pretty quickly so we had the characters to ourselves!

Sorry if this question has been asked, I have not had a chance to view this thread from front to back yet......but, when taking picture inside some of the TS restaurants, do you use a flash or special setting on your camera??

Do whatever you want! There will probably be some people who will give you dirty looks, but they do that when you are taking pictures of your food. You are on vacation and you will never see any one of those people again.

All my pics are crazy blurry because I didn't use a flash. I wish I had.

Most places are pretty bright though, so a flash isn't a big deal. But I think someplace like Sci-Fi people are more likely to get aggitated.

Hi Everyone! I can't wait to get back to Disney for our 2nd DVC Vacation in May! We are trying Tapen Edu for the first time (formerly Tappenyaki). We have never eaten at this restaurant, even before the refurbishment and name change. I was wondering if anyone had some current photos of the what the restaurant looks like?!?

I found out that the flash normally isn't bright enough to illuminate the whole restaurant, so the things in the front will be over exposed and the background will be too dark. Therefore I mainly just switch off the flash and then try to put the camera on something to stabilize it. This way you can prevent shaky pictures (a mini-tripod would even be better). I found out that it pays off to check your result immediately and perhaps try out different settings of your camera. Also every restaurant has different levels of lighting and your view point will be different. Have fun experimenting!
