We have this goal to try every restaurant so we try to do something different every time. This time, I am pretty sure I would like to do the luau at the poly. We have also heard good things about California Grill and of course I would love to do Victoria and Alberts. While at MGM last time, Brown Derby looked quite interesting too.
We will be going back for our one year anniversary and would like to do something wonderful that would be worth splurging for. Which of these would you select-or is there something that might be better?

I was there in December, stayed at the Poly (didn't do the luau). We had dinner at Cali Grill, ADRs for 8, we were seated maybe 8:30 (okay for us) and we enjoyed seeing the MVMCP version of wishes during our meal. Spectacular setting, nice food, nice service. Hollywood Brown Derby was a favorite also, we had a lunch there, fantastic service, good food, very nice.

Both are quite good. If you are looking for great food...my two favorites from our last trip were Jiko's and Citricos. If you want the a beautiful setting, the Cali Grill will be nice. Artist point was quite nice also, I had the most delicious steak there (better than Yachtsman!) and it is a nice dining room too.
Have you checked the menus at www.allearsnet.com ?
They have pictures of some of the restaurant interiors too. Good Luck!

You picked two of our favorites California Grill & Brown Derby. We ate at both recently and really enjoyed our meals. We always start with a flatbread when we eat at CG, they are so good. We had the pork tenderloin on our last trip and it was so tender you could cut it with your fork.

We have done the Poly Luau 3 times and always enjoyed ourselves. It's a great show and the food is very good also.

If you have never eaten at Jiko's at the AKL, you may want to consider it. It is our favorite place to dine at WDW.

I always suggest Citrico's......a wonderful eating experience at the Grand Floridian Resort..

I always eat lunch at the Brown Derby, consistently good meal. I feel the same about Spoodles on the Boardwalk, good food and great service.

I do try to eat at restaurants that take our Disney Dining experience card, Teppanyaki is one of our favorites, but they do not take the card, which is annoying.
