Restaurant Option!

We stayed in Orlando this past week off property for 9 days between 2 different timeshares. We did some usual and known options like Rainforest, T-Rex, Turf Club and Cheesecake Factory. But I wanted to pass on a hidden gem I hadn't previously heard about. It is a family type Italian Bistro type place maybe 8 or 9 miles from Disney on Dr. Phillips. It's called Cariera's Cucina Italiana and it was very good. We had pasta but I wanted to go back and have their pizza's and simply didn't have the chance.

Not sure there's much to tell other than what I said already and the website info. We were very impressed and I'm disappointed we didn't get back to try their pizza. When I went by and picked up the menu they promised they had the best pizza in town and seemed more than sincere but who knows. We really enjoy trying new things, esp things we couldn't get at home or many other places and this certainly fit the bill. It reminded me of that italian restaurant in VB in the strip Mall by Publix across from the Mall. But then again I was Mexican in my previously life and Italian in the one before that and am currently Southern. So it's Fajitas, Quesadilla's, Enchilada's, Pasta, Pizza and BBQ for me more often than not. If someone is looking for an Italian place to try, this seemed to me to be a very good option that was far less commercialized than many in the area. Maybe someone else will try it and report back their impressions.
