I'm working on our dining plans for our upcoming trip and would like your feedback on the following restaurants. Which would you pick out of the following groups, and why (along with why you wouldn't pick the others, if you don't mind sharing). Links to your previous reviews are welcome as well. :thumbsup2

'Ohana, Whispering Canyon, Grand Floridian Café or The Wave (top two favorites)

and

Le Cellier, Tutto Italia, Chefs de France or Coral Reef (top two favorites)

Thank you. :flower3:

We eaten Ohanas for Breakfast-it's our favorite Character
Meall and like that it's Served Family Styled--food is good also the
atmosphere is good. I like the location, it's easy to go to MK
after eating on the Monorail. We've eaten here 3 times and
it's been consistant. We will be trying Ohanas for dinner this
upcoming trip.

The other Restaurant we have eaten at is "Tutto"
and loved it--I wanted to lick my plate--it was goood!!
All of our dishes were very good-everyone was please with
there choice. We are hopping to eat there again
this upcoming trip.

We like Ohana and Whispering canyon for both food and atmosphere.
However I would choose Kona Cafe over both of them (especially YUMMY but not same atmosphere)

We always add in a visit to LeCellier and enjoy the ambiance and food as well. We have not eaten at the others mentioned.
Best of luck choosing! pixiedust:

we just did 'ohana on our recent trip for breakfast and loved it I would definately do it again. we also did whispering canyon for supper again on this trip and decided never again, to us it is too much of everything-food, cost atmosphere, etc. and for some reason my husband got sick both times after eating here so we think it's fate telling us no more. we did le cellier for the first time also and it was awesome! i love the cream cheese mashed potatoes with the filet, one of my fav meals on the trip!

'Ohana, Loved it! Great food and plenty of it
Whispering Canyon, Have not been yet but the reviews do not sound good
Grand Floridian Café AMAZING dinner there, cannot wait to go back
The Wave Have not tried it yet but maybe one day, the menu is pretty interesting
Le Cellier, Ate there twice and loved it!
Tutto Italia, Fantastic, ate there twice, latest review is in my Oct link
Chefs de France Very very good dinner!
Coral Reef Ate there last week, review in my Jan link, it wasnt bad but not the greatest either

Our thoughts are in red.

:flower3:

I've been to most of your list and they were all good. 'Ohana dinner: tons of food, lots of if meat. VEry good, and a fair number of veggies come with the meal, which is kind of unusual these days at WDw TS.
Whispering Canyon: both breakfast and lunch were very good. fun place esp for no characters. It can be a bit loud at times, but still fun. I'm not very into sausage gravy, but the skillet at breakfast otherwise has good food. The waffles they now serve are mini-Mickey waffles!

The Wave - wereally enjoyed our breakfast here. At 10:30am, it was very quiet. It was a nice break from the rushing and noise. The food was also very good. We found the healthy options very refreshing and yummy. For example, I was able to get an omlette with real tomato, feta cheese and spinach!!! Wow! You also can great coffee and a choice of top choice teas. I'm more of a coffee drinker, but Iwas really tempted to try one of the teas. I also love that you can get cocktails here made with fresh healthy exotic juices! (And yogurt drinks!)

I haven't tried Tutto yet, but we enjoyed everything else on your second list. Le Cellier has very good food, but can feel a little cramped, IMO. It's also a bit gray when it comes to decor. Coral Reef has the fish, which is cool. The Mahi Mahi was excellent, some other dishes aren't quite as good, but the Mahi mahi was outstanding! At Chefs, the filet wasn't as good as Le Cellier's but all else was very good. The desserts are great. Also, many standard TS options here come with green beans. LeCellier and many others don't have much for veggies anymore with entrees. On the menu it will say a veggies, but the nit comes and the veggie is only a garnish. If you want veggies in most paces, you have to pay extra and order them.

To summarize, I love the fun food at WDW, but I also get weary of a whole week of too much starch, not enough healthy foods. The meals that contain veggies other than salad can be a real standout, IMO. IMO, the food at WDW has definintely declined towards eliminating veggies for adults (Yet they have added them to all kids meals - go figure?)

Been to all. Keep going back! =)

That's the problem. I can't decide whether to stay with the old faithful tried & trues, or toss new ones into the mix! :rotfl2:

I'm hearing lots of naysaying about Whispering Canyon, which is sad because we couldn't fit it in last time and were really looking forward to it (during its heydey, I guess? :confused3 ) but now no one really seems to like it much any more.

I think GF Cafe is highly underrated. We had excellent meals there. We didn't actually use ADRs for this restaurant, but only waited a little bit (mother's day weekend).

I haven't tried any in your first grouping, but I've tried them all in your second!

Le Cellier: Good food, service is sometimes lacking (we've had mediocre servers there three times), and the space is cramped. I enjoy eating there but DH and I don't feel that it lives up to all the hype. I can recommend the Mushroom Filet and the NY Strip.

Tutto Italia: Great food and service! We've had the most friendly servers here who are willing to please. One of our favorites. I recommend the veal and lasagna.

Chefs de France: DH's fav 1 TS credit restaurant. Food has always been very good and service pretty consistent. I recommend the filet of beef and shrimp & scallops entrees (and the apple crepes for dessert!).

Coral Reef: We were disappointed. The view was nice but the food wasn't too good. Also it was extremely loud. But on a positive note, we've only been once (a few years ago) and now we're willing to possibly give it another try. Maybe we just hit it on a bad day?

Hope that helps...:)

...

Group 1
'Ohana, Whispering Canyon, Grand Floridian Café or The Wave (top two favorites)

Group 2
Le Cellier, Tutto Italia, Chefs de France or Coral Reef (top two favorites)
Group 1 Select
Grand Floridian Café
The Wave -new and almost assured better than Ohana and WCC
///////
Ohana - continues to live off its past reputation - actually provides poor service and food preparation. Most likely popular since it is eat all the meat you care to eat or if you can find your server or if they have any prepared to serve
Whispering Canyon - poor service and food preparation (over use of salt -common practice to give tastless food flavor)

Group 2 Good grouping but in order of preference
Tutto Italia
Chefs de France - down side they crammed a few to many tables on the floor over the past years
Coral Reef - improved but subject to change
Le Cellier - over hyped by DDP guest due to 1 ticket steak. Ok food, sporadic service

oh my without a doubt no questions asked, I would do Ohana, amazing food amazing view and oh did I mention AMAZING FOOD...lol....it's awsome for dinner get a table with a view of Cinderella Castle around firework time...will blow your mind.

then LeCellier it was the best food I had ever eaten, went last september and am returning for my second and third disney trip this year and am going there both times..

Have a wonder trip and Happy Disney eating...

I can't help you on the first set, but I can on the second. We ate at Le Cellier, Tutto and Chefs on our trip two weeks ago. I'd rate them:

1. Chefs
2. Le Cellier
3. Tutto

I had fully expected Tutto to be my favorite but the service wasn't very friendly, we felt very rushed, food was not made to order, was out in less than 5 min after our order was placed and the main reason, neither DH or I enjoyed our entree or dessert.

Everyone in our group enjoyed Le Cellier, almost everyone loved it, except me. It wasn't that I thought the food was bad, it's just not my taste. I'm not a big meat eater. I did have my first steak and it did taste very good, I just didn't like the texture. If you like steak/red meat, you will like Le Cellier.

Chefs was my favorite dinner of the trip. The rolls were great, everyone loved their entree (3 mac and cheese, one short rib, one beef tenderloin and one chicken) and desserts. Service was the best we had and our meal was very relaxing. We also got our desserts just as Illuminations started. It was the perfect ending to our trip. I highly recommend Chefs!
