Restaurant on the way to MCO

I am not sure where is the best place for this thread, I thought I'd start here. We are checking out of our hotel on 12/16 at 11:00am, but our flight doesn't leave until 5:20pm. Can anyone reccomend a good restaurant for a group of 8 to stop at for lunch on the way to the airport?

If you like Cracker Barrel, there is one off Rte 417 at exit 11.

But why not eat someplace at WDW before you head for the airport?

I believe there is also an Outback at the airport. Also, be careful of leaving your lugage in an unattended vehicle if it is plain site (ie no trunk). Would hate for you to get broken into on the way home.

We usually head to one of the resorts for last seating at a buffet breakfast and then walk around a little or we go to DTD and grab a bite and get last minute souveniers at World of Disney. Sometimes you can also get late check out depending on your room so it may be good to ask.

If your taking the Greeneway (417) to the airport there are two exits that have a lot of restaurants.

John Young Parkway has numerous places including an Ale House

Orange Blossom Trail has a Fridays, Ruby Tuesdays, Longhorn Steak House, and a great Mexican restaurant.

I would suggest getting to the airport first and check in, so you are rid of your luggage. Then go to McCoy's which is a restaurant and lounge in the Hyatt Regency. Just take the escalators (near the Gates 60 to 120 entrance) up one level and go to your right. The prices are reasonable, the food and service are good, and it is a relaxing atmosphere.

I'd eat in the Disney area, maybe DTD then drive to the airport.

There are a couple of restaurants near the airport hotels, a mile or so north of the airport; Chili's I think Denny's and something like Fridays or Houlihans.
