Has anyone ever eaten at Restaurant Marrakesh? I booked it & I am not sure of the menu but the belly dancers looked cool & thought it would be something different to do. Anyone have any strong opinions as to like or dislike? :confused3 I was going to book San Angel (mexico) but I felt, I can get mexican food all the time.

I like the theming and the food. The music and the belly dancer was enjoyable. The place kind of looks like the restaurant that Jimmy Stewart eats at with Doris Day in the Man Who Knew Too Much. The servers were outstanding and playful. I will definitely return.

Our family enjoyed this restaurant when we were there 2 years ago. It is lovely inside, the belly dancer was entertaining (she took our DD out on the floor and taught her some steps), and the staff were very friendly. One of the waiter gave DD a Moroccan (sp) hat to wear part of the meal. The food is a little different than the norm, some different seasonings and tastes. We enjoyed it all, but may not be for the unadventurous eaters. We are going back on our trip in 3 weeks. Hope you have fun!:goodvibes

we have eaten there 2 or 3 times and always enjoyed it. good food and dh loves the belly dancer!! like you said, its nice to try something different and the restaurant is kind of out of the way so its not usually too crowded.

we have eaten there twice, DH LOVES it there, i personally am not in love with the food but do love the atmosphere.

Like many Epcot restaurants, Marrakesh is an "americanized" version of the real thing, food-wise. I suspect all but the pickiest of eaters can find something there that they like. The room *is* stunning, and it's a fun place to eat. I enjoy it.

Glad to see this thread! We are going to Restaurant Marrakesh for the first time during our December trip--I'm already way too excited!

DW and I have eaten there twice. Loved it. If you aren't sure what something on the menu is, just ask. The first time was just DW and I, however, the second time we had my parents along. They are not as open to different food and as a result they didn't enjoy it. If you are open to trying different things, you will enjoy it, if not, then you won't.

We (DS, DD, DW and I ) were there in '07, and loved it. The belly dancer came over to our table and had my DD (then a 12 yo) join her on the dance floor ! The food was very good. We are planning on eating there when we return in Dec. Good luck.
